I had my wife slide me methadone during a DUI seminar during a closed weekend at a hotel. I was on the methadone program for 3 years already. I am glad we got away with it because I was getting extremely sick within one day without. That was 10 years ago and my life is clean and good. Opiate addiction is the worst ever.

Bro the only thing I can possibly think is that Thug didn’t organize this but he just went for the handshake, felt something, out of pure instinct and also probably suffering withdraws tried to hide it, and got caught immediately. Which if that’s the case I feel really bad for the guy. I’ve been through opiate withdrawal countless times myself, and I gotta say I’ve done just as crazy of shit as that. I think that what we might be seeing here is not so much the effects of withdrawal but rather the complete loss of hope. Mr. Rivers, with all due respect to courtroom decorum (I’m a regular person who helped 2 younger sisters get through law school many years ago), to walk through the courtroom to the defense and prosecutor’s desks even in a traffic court would be met by at least one deputy moving towards any civilian in the gallery at the same instant civilian is breaching the deputy’s threshold. It was a sucker punch to the perp/co-defendant carrying contraband into the courtroom. Makes no sense whatsoever,. Thug thought he was shaking a hand. Adams can't accuse Thug of being aware of what went on in tat moment. .
