My father was holding my deceased mother's antique pocket watch that had been In her family for several generations. I offered to have it repaired and return it if it would be cared for. He flatly refused and said "you'll just pawn it for drugs or something " I have no history of thievery, drug use or pawning items. I waited a year, returned the following christmas and STOLE it. It was in a desk drawer covered in detritus w it's covers open. I had it repaired and now it ticks happily away w lovely vintage photos of her great grandmother wearing it. This was 10yrs ago and he still threatens to call the cops. I think that gentleman should rescue grandpa's watch from his cruel aunt.

Nightly (and following morning) routine of a reluctant Invictista: 1. Walk into back garden & hold my Invicta Gaudymeister up to the sky to see if tonight is the night aliens will see it as the obvious attempt to communicate that it is. 2. Despondently retreat indoors realising little green men don’t like Invictas either. 3. Check all walls & door-frames for Invicta-induced damage & journal any new occurrences diligently. 4. Don radiation suit & retire Invicta to lead-lined safe that I have dubbed “Gojirastan” so it & it’s fellow Invicta can’t magnetise or otherwise corrupt my Nonvicta collection. Or NORAD. 5. Doff radiation suit & don non-matching Invicta branded pyjama set. Climb into big yellow bed under Invicta branded duvet. 6. Fever dreams caused by residual sensory overload. 7. Kellogg’s Frosties. They’re grrreat! 8. Ponder finally choosing a Nonvicta piece. Realise futility & select another Invicta. 9. Love, honour & obey Invicta always.

My daily watch routine when retiring to bed is to turn my wrist towards my face so I can see what time it is then I close my eyes and go to sleep. My morning routine is similar. Wake up, open my eyes, turn my wrist towards me so I see the watch, then decide if it is too early to get up or if I have slept in.

For those who criticize others for buying a dive watch, with high water resistance, but who never go diving, are these same people equally as critical of those who buy high end sports cars, but who aren't constantly breaking traffic laws by pushing their cars to over 120 mph?

A high end sports car still shows off it's superior performance at lower speeds. Unlike a divewatch, that performs like any other watch outside of diving depths. If you like how it looks than good on you but you'd look like a fool bragging about it's water resistant if your not going diving with it.

my night time routine, and this has been the case for nearly 3 decades on whatever nice watch I'm wearing (and I have several Rolex and better watches)... I take it off, wash it with mild soapy water, rinse it and dry it thoroughly, then put in a watch case, and put away.. by doing this, I've never had a watch get ratty, or duty, or experience loose bracelet syndrome.. And no, never have I had one experience a water incursion either...

All this spotlights the elephant in the room; Rolexes are excellent watches and highly desirable, but (yes, here it comes) the kind of people who desperately desire a Rolex are the very definition of those I would sprint across the street in heavy traffic to avoid at all costs (like politicians, estate agents, used car sales people, barristers with knighthoods, etc.) and therefore, by association, the brand is tainted by these douchebags. It’s still funny in an ironic way though 😆😂🤣

Yeh, it’s true about the divers🤷🏼‍♂️.. yet my Citizen Promaster diver’s 200 that cost me 167$ was on me scuba diving, rafting, Rowing at sea, enjoying in the pool, and sometimes at work (I work in water). It’s a brute tool that can take almost anything 💪🏻.

That joker invicta watch did you do a full research? I noticed one was Silicone band the other one steel band... It is hideous watch However but do remember invicta started a price tag for all modells and call it number 1 of that model of watch.. All of them have full price... Som 1000 dollars or more... As long it is #1 in the watch they gone sell it expensive on their store.. Go check it out for yourself. As wallmart.. That joker watch is so ugly not even invicta collectors wants it.. It's a hard sell.. That is why it is toss away price However i would say it is a good deal to buy it from wallmart just only for it's movement if you need a replacement for your ronda z60 in your watch.. Just buy the watch, take out the movement and toss joker into the bin.. The price for ronda z60 is $39.95-42.95 USD normaly. Most of invicta super heroes, disney and some iridescent watches are ugly. People usually take them up when they want to bash invicta. As invicta group remember they own technomarine, sf coifman and glycine brands.. They have diverse quality.. From bazar watches to good watches.

This one hurts. (1) Very active on the Rolex subreddit. (2) Wear a Seadewller 43/Black Bay/Seamaster 300 to the office somewhat often (but I do dive with the SD about once a year). (3) Visit my AD at least once a month to shoot the shit about watches. (4) Own several Rolexes. (5) Own a couple of Tudors. (6) Wear a watch to bed but make sure the others are properly stored/on a winder. Might be time for me to re-evaluate my life...LOL.
