lol I don't think she's oblivious to what her mom does, I think she's 100% ok with being a hypocrite in favor of her mom. Also there was an interesting thing laura said in a talks episode, no idea which one, about how basically Jester doesn't really care if he "has a good time" just don't invite them to stay for breakfast after lol. I think she cares more about him not loving anyone else.

@@mayaenglish5424 I interpreted it more as since it wasn't his job to sleep around, it might have implied to her that he had forgotten about Marion. I think for Jester love is more about the romance outside of sex, but she still understands that romance ultimately leads to sex. She could have been merely ignoring the hypocrisy, but she knew how her mother felt about her father so even if she was having sex all the time Jester knew for a fact that it wasn't out of love. On the other hand, the Gentleman was more of a mystery to her and his dancing around the subject made her unsure how he felt. I think the second thing you brought up was more on point about her perception of things at that time and why she said what she did.

So it's Jester's fault that Molly died. If she hadn't pushed to do both jobs and instead agreed to just do the swamp job that Fjord said they would do. They would have never run into that gang.

It's unclear if it all would have been exactly the same, but it would have been just as dangerous
