The young artist is a tiiiny plant... The mighty artist can step on the little greenleaf, crushing it, and it will never grow again. The key is to nurture the plant... let it grow... pruning, aggressively, IF NEEDED... but being gentle. To let it grow mighty large and strong, blossoming in a towering tree of perspective and illustration!

I recommend Scott Robertson's "How to draw" book. Is a must-read for all students of design. Maybe for some, the book goes a bit too heavy on the technical aspects of perspective, but all of his techniques (like mirroring curves in perspective, drawing arcs, etc.) are one hundred percent fundamental to know. I don't even draw cars (yet), but that book is a must read even when you feel you're above that "absolute beginner" level, because the techniques he teaches are fundamental to drawing.

He's not talking about the super futuristic cars, he means more like, cars that won't age quickly. For example, for the 2012 model year we had the sonata, and Chevy sonic. Those cars look very much their age. Then the same year we have something like the Pagani huayra, a car that very much looks like it could come out now. I know it doesn't seem fair for me to compare a typical car against a multi million dollar car. But, it does show the importance of designing a car for the future. Even the mclaren f1, (aside from the old looking taillights), still has very beautiful sleek modern lines

I’m new here and ignorant about a lot of what is going on. But I would say that clear pillars on a car is an attractive thing in rocket league, as it helps distinguish car positions which helps with car control and connection with the ball. Also, when people purchase cars in rocket league it’s different from real life, as such, maybe there isn’t such an emphasis on having a futuristic design. Perhaps the brief for designing a rocket league care would veer more towards something that stands out/is playable (obvious shapes)/is attention grabbing (which doesn’t necessarily mean futuristic for rocket league).

Most design choices should be purposeful, or the final product won't represent the original design at all. Thus it's the designer's responsibility for their own good to make sure that their design has somewhat realistic features such as adequate suspension travel and it isn't filled with ridiculous amounts of air vents that serve no purpose.

I think we better to find new aesthetic design features to apply on futuristic concepts instead of unnaturally forcing the design to look as weird as possible. So instead of cyber tin cans, we can have practical yet fresh looking cars with new design philosophies. Also, vaccum cleaners are look like alien technology if you imagine them as cars.

Please make a Rocket League video! I know it will be insanely popular, and will help you tap into the massive RL design fanbase on YT. There are sooo many interesting cars, it could be a whole series.

Hi sir frank, I'm 17 as well I have so many drawings here, and some of them are my real design came from my perspective I get inspiration to the real cars to make those cars, also doing some my own 70s F1 cars. Wondering where can I submit those. Thanks.
