Have you considered that recording and posting the entire concert for free might be difficult for this poor man to make a living from?
@TheTumblingDice3 ай бұрын
@@MsSmiley41Thank you for your comment. I understand your concern, and I always make sure to ask for permission before recording. In this case, I had permission. Sharing these shows not only supports the artist by increasing exposure, but it also helps build a larger fan base. Sadly, this particular venue wasn’t packed, and I believe that by sharing his incredible talent, more people will be drawn to attend his live shows and purchase his music. The goal is to give him the recognition he deserves, which ultimately helps his career.

@@TheTumblingDice I was there, and I reviewed the show for Nippertown. I completely agree with you about having these posts PUBLIC for free. It spreads the word. I was also fortunate enough to interview AJ -- stories went in three different publications. I love his new song, BTW.

@@TheTumblingDiceI agree. If it weren’t for KZbin I wouldn’t know AJ was touring and doing his dad’s songs. Sadly, I missed seeing him when he was near me, but now I know, so next time I will go see him and support him, so thank you for sharing this!

It is amazing to see the son pay tribute to his father in this way. Jim Croce was part of my life growing up, and I often wonder how much more great music he would have created. Reading the story of his sons life - what great strength through so much adversity.

Yes to everything you just said and what I didn't know that A.J. said was that his dad's career only lasted 18-months! He was actively playing music longer than that of course but he only had 3 albums and he had so many hits. There were bittersweet tears at the end of the show when AJ sang Time in a Bottle with the slide show of him and his dad, I still get choked up rewatching the video. He said he couldn't touch his dads music for years but he worked through that so this tour was really special.

Oh no! I am so sad that I JUST MISSED the bay area shows in October!!!! I was sittin round with my buddies playing some music and I got on a croce kick. My friend said A.J. was in town soon in San Jose playing all his dad's stuff , I squealed so happy is be able to see this!!! I now see I'm 2weeks late!!!! I'm so f'ing bummed! As I write this, I must accept the familiar feeling of "missed it by that much". Boo. HOWEVER, I am soooo grateful to find this recording in consolation. Next best thing. Thank you to the provider❤ What great stories and inside insight . AJ is a chip of the ol block . What a treasure, I'll be playing this one a lot!

Aw, I totally understand how disappointing that must feel, especially when you were so excited to see AJ live! But I'm glad this recording could offer some consolation. I'm sure you'll catch him next time. AJ really is a treasure, just like his dad, and it's awesome that you’re enjoying the stories. Hope you get to see him perform live soon!

What a great show. Thank you so much for sharing.👍🤗 I will see AJ in about a month in Portland Oregon.😉

Hope you’ve been able to catch AJ’s show by now! This video doesn’t quite capture how incredible he really was live - the energy and sound were amazing. Unfortunately, my equipment isn’t top-notch, so it doesn’t fully do him justice, but I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks, I really appreciate that! My channel focuses on lesser-known, forgotten, and tribute bands to help more people discover and enjoy their talent. Since it’s all fan video, I don’t make any money from it; it’s also about preserving those memories for those who attended and for those who can’t make it to the shows. My hope is that it helps the artists, and sometimes they even acknowledge my videos, which is always nice!

Remarkable how utterly UN-like his father, AJ sounds.

Yeah, AJ has a completely different style and sound from his father, he has carved out his own unique path.
