Oh this is something new for me! I always made this stitch by going into the chain spaces. But you're leaving the chains as they are and crocheting into SCs from the previous row! Love the look of the hats! ❤️

Firstly, congrats!! I became a grandma at 39 years old. My daughter and her husband wasted no time to start a family after they were married. The funny part is, I had a baby 2 years before I was a grandma! Lol. There's 17 years between my 2 children. My son became an Uncle at 2!! Lol. He's 13 now, and it's still weird hearing him called Uncle Trevor. Now, my daughter just had her 2nd daughter 3 months ago (right in the middle of the pandemic) and I'm starting to crochet some winter baby hats. Secondly, I LOVE this stitch! I've only been crocheting for a year, so there's still a lot of stitches I've either never tried or never heard of. This is one I've never tried. It's SO much prettier than your basic stitch. I'm excited to try it!! Thanks for the tutorial, and happy and healthy wishes for your new grandson-to-be!! 🍼👶

I love this hat, I’m making one for my granddaughter’s. I do have one question. After we do the brim you said to pull up a big loop and then you start sewing the two ends together. But before seeing the ends together, do we finish that last row with a chain one and then pull up a big loop? Thank you, I love watching your videos, you have such a graceful way of teaching.

Hi Tiffany! I know that you posted this video about a year ago, but I just happened to have bumped into it today. Darling hat and I'm working on mine right now😊. I'm not too sure if you are aware of a yarn called Mandala Baby yarn. It's from the Lion Brand family and it's really nice yarn, especially for hats. It stretches more than the Caron yarn. You should look into it if you haven't already. I think you'll like it. Thanks for this video🙂!

I'd like to find out if you would possibly give me some advice as to the easy child hat to make for several hundred children in the area for the Christmas Holidays 2020??? I have some women that are willing to help, and we all agreed that we'd make the same pattern hat for babies, kids, teens, etc. If you have a suggestion or you think this would be the best hat to pattern to use, please advise!
