I watched this video for the first time yesterday and already made two hats. I love it. I made one of the hats extra long so I can roll it up to give it a brim. Super cute. Thank you.

I was not sure while crocheting the hat if I would like it (yarn questionable) however it was a charity hat. Now that its completed, I love it. This is when charity challenge when I have to give something I love away lol. In stead of the magic loop I ch 4. I would recommend magic loop even though I find it a challenge. Thanks again for you tutorial and may the New Year be smooth sailing.

Great video, you always have very clear pictures, can see the stitches so well, makes it a lot easier to learn. I will be making this hat as I liked the thickness of the Heart hat, the stitches look knitted to me. Like the idea of the bobby pins for pattern marker, I have gotten mixed up on which round I was reading many times, spent time undoing, hate that, I have used the pins for stitch markers before, was surprised when I saw you do too. thanks again,

Hi, Clare. I am enjoying this pattern. Your video is very helpful. I saw that you were able to print the pattern, but I have been unsuccessful in finding where I can print it. Any thoughts would be wonderful. Thank you.

Claire, when I do round 3 I get more than 24 st. In doing the math, round 2 has 16 and with 1 fpdc and 1 dc wouldn't this double the 16? I'm confused. Can't seem to get 24, have more left over even tho I redid round 3. Thank you!

Love this pattern. Was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. On row 12 I had 88 stitches as per the pattern. I crocheted the pattern sides (not increasing) and my hat was way too big. I used Heartland Lion Brand, Medium Weight (4) yarn, an I hook. Normally I am not a very loose crocheter. My hats actually tend to come out smallish. My thought was to go back to round 10 and stop increase from there. Or use a smaller hook. Or both? Any suggestions? Thanks. :-)

+lennieblue Hello, Yes I think that woud be a great idea to go back to 10 - after a few rounds try it on and see how it fits :)

I'm looking for a crochet hat pattern for a bulky 5 yarn. I tried another pattern of yours but the hat was huge. Thanks.
@jesso19549 жыл бұрын
Rona S. Hi, this tutorial is for chunky yarns. with chunky yarns you will need less increase rounds then when using worsted weight. it is also best to use the hook that your yarn recommends.

Jess O Thanks a lot. I noticed this video but was afraid it might be too big because it's for a man. I'll give it a try.
@jesso19549 жыл бұрын
yeah it should still work. just stop your increases to what your head circumference would be. for example, my head circumference is about 19" so i would stop my increases when the crown measures 6" across. just divide the circumference by 3.14 to get the crown size. hope that helps

Jess O You have no idea how helpful your info is for me. I am new to hat making and had no idea how to measure etc. Thanks so much!! HUGE help!

when measuring your head, do you go across from the top of your head from ear to ear?
@CrochetwithClare9 жыл бұрын
Hello Max Montreal When you measure your head you do it around your head, around forhead, back of head and ears Here is a link to help you see what i mean www.pgmdressform.com/mobile/pgm-dress-forms-book-c86/how-measure-your-head-p358.html

+bobwilson123 It's a great hat for a man, but it could also be used by a woman. Really? It's a man's hat that women can use? I'll pass.

+Donna Ann If the hat is made with pink and white or other colors like that, it could be for a woman. Don't you think? Oh! Thank you so so much for your videos, bobwilson123! I love them all!

+Daniela Istrate No, I don't think there are "boy" colors and "girl" colors. I think there are just colors.
@danu7a8 жыл бұрын
:) Ok, but that doesn't mean that everybody has to think like you. Pink it's a girlish color (not all shades, but it is); I will be surprised when I will see a boy with a barbie pink color hat. It's nothing wrong to have an opinion. Have a good day!
