Love this tutorial. While I'm typing this comment I have the beanie on my head with the yarn hanging down over my face as I didn't want to forget to make a comment. I made this beanie using charcoal grey & the border using variegated greys. It turned out perfect. Thank you so much for all your great tutorials. You are awesome & happy hooking.

I love this pattern. I crochet hats and donate them to the local agency fro stopping domestic violence and this is one of my go-to patterns. Works up quickly and looks very nice. I use variegated yarns to add an extra wow factor. I want the person receiving my hats to want to wear them and this pattern certainly helps. Thank you.

Hi, my daughter and I have been enjoying watching your videos. Thank you for the good explanations, camera angle and ... the aussie accent, being aussies ourselves I love the intro of g'day. You throw me a bit using US terminology, I was taught that a dc was a trbl, sc was a dc etc., and my following a pattern skills arnt real hot, so you are enspiring me to try to improve. Keep up the good work. Look forward to more of your videos. Thanks heaps sandra and natalie grantham.

Sandra Grantham Hello ladies Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback, yes i teach the American way as there are far more of them than us :) Once you get the hand of the differences in the stitches (its only the names) you will be able to follow so many patterns...then you will have a problem, more patterns and no enough time ! Thank you for watching and happy crochet

I just wanted to say thank you. I have made so many of your patterns and I get so many compliments on my finished projects. The size charts are a MUST have, they are perfect and have always been spot on. You videos are clear, the directions so simple to follow and you do a wonderful job explaining each step and actually where to make each stitch. I had such a problem with this on other video tutorial from you tube. I could never see exactly where to put some of the stitching especially on starting rows, or when doing a more difficult stitch for the first time. If it were not for you I probably would have given up crochet before I even got started. Have you thought about making a place for your viewers to show off the colors and designs they make from your patterns? Again, thank you for taking your time to do this!

Hi Could you please explain how to use the chart for sizing the hat . Are you working in inches or cm.? I am in the uk and using DK and a 3'.5 hook. My granddaughter is 2yrs of age so could explain how many times I should increase and how many additional rows I should do afterwards. Thanks

I've started this hat with three different colors and I can't really make out the pattern like I can in your examples. I've used RH With Love in peacock and I thought it might be too think and that's why I could barely tell it had a pattern. Then I used a thinner purple with silver thread running through. Still no. The one I'm finishing is a buff color, RHSS, and I still can't see it. I'm finishing it anyway though because I'm frustrated. Any ideas what I can't really see it? (I am doing the pattern correctly.)

Hi! This hat took a few tries to get right, but I think I've finally got it. What size hook are you using in this video? Also, how do you tell the difference between 4 ply and 8 ply? Does it tell you on the wrapper? Thanks.
@CrochetwithClare9 жыл бұрын
+Karen Kerr Hello, I am using a 4mm / G hook and that is recommended for the 8ply/DK yarn . 4 ply baby yarn is thinner and I think uses about a 2.5 - 3 mm hook These are Australian/UK/UK terms, not sure where you live. 4ply is not the same in USA
