I was a public school teacher for 30 years -- I know what the hallmarks of good teaching are. This tutorial, Crystal, shows one of the many reasons that you are an EXCELLENT teacher. You are aware that not everyone can do every stitch so easily. You find a way to make it accessible for everyone. You modify so that your students can do the stitch or do something that produces a very similar result. Your goal is always the same -- that each of us be successful! Thanks for all you do!

THANK YOU for this tutorial! I made a bunch of granny stitch cardigans a few months ago and I used this as a border around the front and sides. The cardigans ended up looking amazing with this stitch. Unfortunately I had other projects to complete and I put my sweaters aside for a little bit. When I came back to them I completely forgot how to do this stitch!!! I looked at maybe 40 videos but they were all the crab stitch! Then I came across yours and I was like YESSSSSS she got it! Thank you again for making this video! Now I can make my cardigans again 😁🥰

I just did the crab stitch and it took me forever. I will use this method from now on thank you.

I like it. For me, it seemed less of a struggle moving forward, rather than backwards with the single crochet stitch. Thanks 🎉

Oh no! I needed this last week. I have just finished a project that called for RSC. First time using this stitch and if the project was not for a special person in my life I would have given up. This hack looks sooo much easier.

Looks lovely and looks so much easier than the crab stitch. That one took me ages to wrap my head around what I needed to do for that. Also, just about to set off to work here in the UK and you've made my day brighter for posting so late/early In the day.

Yes Crystal, this is so much easier for us left-handed people, well me anyway. I discovered this stich several months ago when I was failing at doing the crab stich and I love it.

😊This is the only way I do the crab stitch(forard reverse single crochet) 🎉 since I saw You do this last year! I Absolutely Love ❤️ using this stitch! I'm finishing up a baby blanket with it at this moment so I had to tell You how much that I appreciate You sharing with us! I've been crocheting for over 55 years, but I have learned alot of interesting stitches and techniques from you. Even though I have gathered many crochet books throughout the years, it seems that I am more of a visual learner then a reader. Thank You so Much again for coming up with this technique!😊❤😊

Thank you for this amazing border. I made my daughter a Christmas quilt and added this border to it. I used the granny stitch in stripes of Christmas colors for a quick quilt. She wanted it bigger than an afghan size. So this border looks better than the blanket. lol. Thanks Crystal. Happy holidays!

This is genius, over the last month I have used the crab stitch to edge a large throw, a baby blanket and four baby dress and cardigan sets. I still have a few more to go but this method looks so much easier and has more definition you can bet I’ll be using this on future projects. Thank you Crystal ❤

Another great tutorial. Deciding or what boarder to use tends to trip me up. The crab stitch makes a nice, clean, minimalist frame. I may have to make another throw just to try this technique/stitch. And, I may just do the zig zag puff stitch. That’s just beautiful especially with the yarn color you demo’d! Thank you again!
