💫 crochet with me ☆ I finally made howls jacket (studio ghibly inspired!)

💌 hello friends!
Today I present to you my passion project I've been working on for the past 2 months!
Ever since I got into crocheting I've dreamed of crocheting howls jacket, because it's simple iconic. I feel like I'm finally at a part where I'm skilled enough for it and decided to give it a try! And with success if I might say so myself 👉🏻👈🏻

yarn I used:
♡ pink: scheepjes colour crafter ~ 2006/ Luik
♡ blue: scheepjes colour crafter ~ 1082/ Zwolle
♡ yellow: scheepjes color crafter ~ 1114/ Eindhoven
♡ white: random one I still had laying around
♡ I used a double crochet for the whole cardigan, and a front loop single crochet for the cuff.
♡ I used a 4.5mm hook for this project.

To anyone who wants to make their own howl coat, here's the list of diamonds to make for the front panels ^^ Pink- 8 full diamonds 4 half vertical diamonds 8 Half horizontal diamonds 4 half vertical horizontal Blue 12 full diamonds 6 vertical diamonds Hope this helps 😊

What a lovely project. I was smiling for the span of the whole video. I don't do any crocheting but I think you did a great job. I think it should've been a little bit longer, so it would look more like a coat and less like a vest with sleeves. But still it's beautiful and really cute and looks a lot like the original. I think you picked very good colors for it aswell. I'm grateful for you for not choosing music from the movie as your background music for this video. It would've made me too emotional and I couldn't have concentrated on the build. The songs you picked worked very well with the video material. Very cozy and peaceful. This movie is really important to me. I'm a DIY person myself and I have years of experience from building prop weapons from games and movies. I haven't got into crocheting yet but seeing someone with only one year of experience build something this beautiful and this well inspired me to try it myself at some point. I've been thinking of maybe ordering Howl's jacket online. I really like classic style and I like taking inspiration from Ghibli movies because they're my favorite movies. I really like Howl's look so I'm trying to get many clothes inspired by Howl's look. I've been told by more than one person that I look a lot like him. Someone even fell in love with me because I remind her of him so much xD. I dream of attending a dress party dressed as Howl some day. I also dream of wearing Howl's full ensemble casually some day. I think he looks really cool and attractive and I want to look like him. It would be really cool to wear a jacket that I made myself as part of that ensemble. I wish I can make crocheting look as natural, fun and peaceful at some point. Having years of experience on crafting I'm already done some of the way, because I know how much effort and time one tiny piece can make but it can serve a huge purpose for the whole project. How long did this project take you? Thank you for a lovely video, I really enjoyed. It was very inspiring.

Thank you!💗 When attaching the front to the back part, make sure you leave some space unattached on the inside, I made the collar separately for that length and then just attach it! I hope this makes sense 🤔

It's a Dutch website; breiwebshop.nl, not sure if they do international shipping (if you're not in the Netherlands that is) maybe they sell this yarn at a shop that's more local for you?
