I always get so excited following your cranberry harvest. I am SO glad you had a good harvest! I am definitely trying the caramel trick in the crock pot. I'd heard of it before, but never tried it. I'm all excited now. lol We will do our part purchasing cranberries when they hit our stores! I love to can cranberry relish and fill the freezer with many bags too. I always think of your family when we buy them because, even if they don't come from you guys, they come from some family who worked hard to produce them. God bless!

Jennifer... I always love your recipes, but I've gotta give it to you today. With Warrens reactions to your goodies today... I'd say you hit several home runs. That grin says it all. His statement saying the caramel sauce tastes JUST like what his mom used to make - that's like the ULTIMATE compliment in my book. (Please tell him that his beard looks GREAT on him too.) I'd be lying if I didn’t admit that after 40+ years of living in Minnesota, I'm always a bit jealous of men being able to grow a beard that keeps his face a little warmer!😉 God bless your family & prayers for a great, safe finish to harvest for this year. 🙏🙏🙏

Hi Jennifer from WesternAustralia. You can also boil a tin of condensed milk on the stove for about 3 hours. Keep topping the water up. I do this to make banoffee pie. Biscuit base, then sliced bananas, then the condensed milk caramel and then thickened cream with a topping of flaked/ grated chocolate. Delicious 😀

Congratulations on the bountiful harvest! All of Warren's diligence and hard work have been rewarded. The caramel trick is great. I have always made it stove top, but set it and forget it in the crockpot is awesome. Jennifer, I feel like you are my soul sister after you showed off your kitchen counters. My Mom always said kitchen counter clutter was a blessing. It meant you are able to provide well for your family. We had a decorative plate hanging in her kitchen that said "Dirty dishes have a tale to tell. While others may go hungry, we are eating very well!" I think this often when I am about to tackle a sink full of dishes. I love Joe's little "Hi, guys" in the videos. "Hi, Joe!"

🥹 boiling evaporated milk was the only way us brits ever made caramel up until a few years back! Every Sunday, there would be a pan spitting hot water all over the kitchen as my Nan boiled that cinder milk from far back as I can remember. I’m 48. We had a huge spread (picky tea) of home made cakes. Cold meat sandwiches and a home made pie and quiche! Always on the table was caramel made from evaporated milk.

Thank you, Jennifer. I love that this can easily be halved. I still love, love, love crock pot and carb-heavy meals but Hubby is SO PICKY, hates veggies and doesn't really love casseroles. It is sure hard to feed him with what I'd love to cook, haha. I love your very real kitchen! Joe's position on the island is very definitely something I look for in every video these days, bless him for having that spot he loves for his own. I wonder if my Wisconsin ancestors were able to take advantage of cranberry harvests...I do know that my paternal Ggrandmother was a teacher and I actually have her original Wisconsin state teacher's certificate. She married an appellate court judge (who was sadly, a raging alcoholic) had three sons and as far as I know now, her husband's family line died out with all those boys.
