Dr. Yuri Maltsev (Mises.org/Maltsev) is a Soviet expatriate who worked as an economist in the Gorbachev era of "reforms." He makes the strong case against what he terms "Crony Socialism," detailing how politics, bureaucracy, and self-dealing monetary planners work against the cause of greater peace and prosperity. Recorded in Fort Worth, Texas, on 2 June 2018. Includes an introduction by Jeff Deist.

"Yuri, why won't you try Socialism?... Why not try Cancer, it is less deadly?" Classic comeback, so true! Thank you for sharing this. Yuri is a true genius. This is what we should be teaching in schools instead of the socialist propaganda they are teaching the young now.

Best explanation of socialism I've found, from a time when socialism's reality had not been demonstrated in real life: "First, what is the best the socialists, in their writings, can offer us? What do the most optimistic of them say? That our subsistence will be guaranteed, while we work; that some of us, the best of us, may earn a surplus above what is actually necessary for our subsistence; and that surplus, like a good child, we may "keep to spend." We may not use it to better our condition, we may not, if a fisherman, buy another boat with it, if a farmer, another field ; we may not invest it, or use it productively ; but we can spend it like the good child, on candy - on something we consume, or waste it, or throw it away. "Could not the African slave do as much? In fact, is not this whole position exactly that of the ... slave? He, too, was guaranteed his sustenance; he, too, was allowed to keep and spend the extra money he made by working overtime; but he was not allowed to better his condition, to engage in trade, to invest it, to change his lot in life. Precisely what makes a slave is that he is allowed no use of productive capital to make wealth on his own account. The only difference is that under socialism, I may not be compelled to labor (I don't even know as to that - socialists differ on the point), actually compelled, by the lash, or any other force than hunger. And the only other difference is that the ... slave was under the orders of one man, while the subject of socialism will be under the orders of a committee of ward heelers. You will say, the slave could not choose his master, but we shall elect the ward politician. So we do now. Will that help much? Suppose the man with a grievance didn't vote for him?" --Socialism; a speech delivered in Faneuil hall, February 7th, 1903, by Frederic J. Stimson

Karl Marx was most definitely Jewish he was in point of fact third cousin of Nathan Rothschild. Their great grand fathers, Sakoman David Barent Cohen and Levi Barent-Cohen were brothers, Karl Marx was paid by Nathan Rothschild to write the communist manifesto 3000 pounds to be precise which is 300,000 pounds in todays money, the check used to have pride of place in the British museum, I along with countless millions of others have seen it with our own eyes, it was taken down from display because they claimed it was attracting protests , more like so they could cover up their collusion which is the left right paradigm. And if he hated to be jewish so much then why did his Jewish family bankroll him ? and even paid him to write the communist manifesto. Also Frederick Engels was converted to communism by Mosses Hess himself from a wealth Jewish Family Hmmmm starting to see a pattern here.

One thing I would like to hear more about is his interpretation of the criteria to where one ceases to be capitalism and instead becomes socialist. He says Denmark isn't socialist because they still have private property, but then he says Nazis are socialists despite having private property...just not "real" private property. What about modern? China. Isn't it a socialist government? Yet it is supposedly doing very well. I think it's important to have clear, accurate, and consistent criteria to delineate when something is, and when something isn't capitalist.
