So cool. We spent a couple of days in Tordesillas coming back from Portugal to Belgium. As Brazilians this stop was a "must do". We've been in the museum as well. Love your videos. Just bought a 1991 Transalp as my second bike to start traveling next year I hope. Love your videos. Cheers from Marcelo, Canal Rota 68

I HATE riding when it's wet out, especially over any painted lines. They're like "ICE strips". Pedro: rides thru a congested downtown with one hand, narrating a history infused travel vlog. Me: Eyes glued on every car's ass end, ready to back out into me.

I did a long European tour on my 600 Alp. There were times when I could have used a bit more power on some highway stretches, but who likes riding on highways unless you have to. Otherwise a great touring bike that's easy to work on. If anyone's thinking to buy one for touring, replace the CDi unit (s) with new electronic versions if they haven't been changed already. Shock upgrade and progressive springs are nice to have but not essential

my Alp used to shake it's head like that when I took my hands off the bars, but only when the top box was was fully loaded. Maybe you could add some more preload to the rear shock...easy job on an Alp. I replaced my steering head bearings but it was still the same until I stiffened up the back end. Great to see some blue skies. Atlas sounds lovely. S/he's turning out to be a trusty travel partner...

Border crossings are always a significant event for adventure motorcyclists. Thank you for sharing this one with us. I always thought, however, that hand guards would do a decent job keeping the chilly wind off your hands. And the ones on Atlas look large enough. What gives, amigo?

Pedro!! 😁 This zipper.... Still this zipper! You should ask some old ladies about tricks and tips. They know. If you have one pincers to press the glider gently together, it will help (IF that's the problem) or if you need to replace one small plastic, take one from the top and move down temporary 👍🏻❤️

Hello Pedro, I/we love all your adventures. You are funny when you mentioned that you are going through this town with foreign plates! You traveled a huge potion of the world with Alps and your NL plates and now you worry about NL plates in Spain! It's Europe! No one cares where you/your bike is/are from! Europeans go all over and no one really pays any attention! I rode the world with US license plates back in the days and it never (really) was a concerned/problem! Great video again and I can't wait until the next one when you arrive "home" in Portugal. Great history lesson. Cheers.

@KrlKngMrtssn2 жыл бұрын
Pedro, You stated (or implied) that the Portuguese were the main drivers in terms of exploration. Now, I understand the statement is coming from a Portuguese national. Therefore, it has to be taken relatively (national pride may lead to subjectivity). One important fact is, when Christopher Columbus asked the Portuguese to finance the Atlantic exploration, they said no, whereas the Spanish said yes. Also, the entire pacific cost from Alaska to Patagonia was first and almost exclusively explored by the Spaniards. Also, the first circumnavigation of the earth was an initiative of the Spanish, not the Portuguese. This arguments, in my opinion, speak against your somewhat bold statement.
