Hello there !! I have a question regarding when to start jumping rope: I am 57 years old and I have lost 29 pounds from February to July (from 266 pounds to 237 pounds). The question is: should I start jumping my rope once I have reached a weight under 220 pounds or could I start even before? I am concerned about either a knee or calf injury due to still being overweight by the time I start jumping. Thank you very much !!
@GTE_Channel3 жыл бұрын
Just start slowly. Like for a minute and rest for 30 seconds repeat 3 to 5 times. See how you feel afterwards and the next day. Repeat a few times a week and the build from there. Good luck and enjoy!

@@GTE_Channel Thank you ! I appreciate your answer. I agree about it is very wise to start slowly and then increase it, so I may avoid either injuries or being too tired. Best regards!

@@maximogimenez9238 Hi Maximo and after one year , did you achieve your goal ? (I'm just starting jumping since beginning of this year) 😁
@maximogimenez9238 Жыл бұрын
@@chrismartin8820 Thank you for asking, Chris. Yes¡ I finally could start my jumping. I did it for about 3 months (using my mat of course; do not jump on concrete, not even wood surfaces), and I stopped now during winter time due to the cold weather for my mom, who is in a wheelchair and always goes with me wherever I go to, including exercise time. We don´t want to deal with colds here. I lost a 81 pounds total, much more than those reported 29 pounds. Anyway, we must combine jumping rope and proper diet. Once again, thank you for asking and just start the rope¡

@@maximogimenez9238 Merci Maximo, it's kind from you to answer me - it's not so cold here (France west Paris) so I can continue to jump outside (15 minutes a day to start - I'm 55 years old) . I do not diet but tend to just follow lent . I wish you and your mother all the best , amicales salutations

I've only been jumping for 4 months, i'm 6' 2", and measured the ropes I'm currently using (not crossropes). They're already down to 8' 6", which I think is a crossrope medium =/

So sorry for the delay in response! You will likely be much happier with M. Of course, form is a huge factor.

With all due respect if I order crossropes from the actual manufacturer and website making a purchase for the either get lean or get strong package of ropes aren't they going to generally be one-size-fits-all? Seriously what happens if I make my purchase and they don't fit me then what? Does the website require your height and weight measurements before you order?
@crossropejennika2 жыл бұрын
There is a size chart based on height on the Crossrope website. The ropes are not adjustable so they come in sizes from XXS - XL. There is a 60 day size exchange so you can really test them out to decide if they are a good size for you.

Hi, May I ask how tall are you? What's the size of this skipping rope?
@crossropejennika2 жыл бұрын
I am 5'5' and use XXS Crossropes. I keep my form pretty tight and don't have much room for error, but it does allow me to swing faster and more efficiently. I know people the same height that prefer their S size ropes though. Form is a huge factor.

To be honest, not being able to resize the rope makes this product overpriced and not worth it at all.
