CrossTech Holster Setup - Oven Method

Got one today Old holster, $8-10, heavily padded comfort, no cant adjustment and actually hangs a little backward, large bulge I used oven method, forms ok, bulge print very small, comfort ok, probably hit it with heat gun. I would rather have a paddle fobus type holster made specific for my gun(which is also a bigger bulge), but this gun is from the 70's. I doubt there is anything better. I did not get the retention strap, it is pretty tight, I can't do back flips

I re-did it today, I was happy with it I just wanted to try and get more cant. This time I set the oven at 275 instead of 265, rearranged the bolts, putting the pistol in the material seemed alot softer than the first time and I pushed it in to where the rear sights were inside the holster. Waiting 20 min then trying to pull the pistol out was nearly impossible, the rear sight had hung on an unused bolt hole. After I got it out I put it back with the rear sight resting on top of the holster.........perfect fit, I can hold it upside down and shake it and the gun stays in place, its fairly easy to pull and put back in. I'll say the 275 is better than 265

@@Hugerammer8927 no I have 2 crosstech holsters, small one and lg one. I can't see a reason to use any other holster

Just got one today, just finished molding it. I have a laser so it didn’t create the pocket but it’s way nicer than the paddle holster I’m skinny so wearing that paddle a whole day bout destroyed my hips.

Belt Clips on this holster made of hard plastic and not metal. They will snap off. Beware of this before you purchase. The clips do screw on but finding someone who has a replacement parts seems nonexistant.

Did the clips snap off due to heating and cooling or is it just a general flaw of the clips? I tried to take off the clips, but they would not unscrew.

They claim they have improved the material of the clips and will send you the new clips if you contact them. I think I would use the heat gun method taking care not to direct heat toward the clips.

I set the oven at 265 for 15 minutes. ! Melted my clips on a $40 case!!!!! Ruined
