Another after work outdoor trip ! You are very consistent with your trip starting after dark but adding to the challenge a canoe and... a portage 😅 . I was wondering why you set the tarp very high but I understood the morning after that it was also your living space . The weather was classic for an early spring trip , going from an extreme to another . Its a good coincidence that I watch your video before my trip tomorrow. The forecast says for sunny and 15 degrees tomorrow , to 0 during the night and light snow for wednesday...Learning from your experience I think I will bring a bunch of extra warm clothes to be on the safe side. I am going scouting to see if the roads are accessible and if the lakes are out of ice , if so I will go back at the end of the week for a canoe trip for a few days . Fishing season is also opening friday for brookies... Did you bring a 3 seasons sleeping bag or a winter bag ? I love your content in your videos as I can relate to them . The only thing different is I like to read book instead of listening to stories 😉 . Thanks for sharing , alway's happy when I see one of your video on my notification !

The bag I brought is rated to -18 but the ratings are not trustworthy at all in my opinion! I like to read as well and will usually bring a book but it is easier to stay warm listening rather than reading if you want to be in your sleeping bag!

When paddling a tandem canoe by yourself, try sitting in the bow seat facing the stern - makes it much safer with better control
