Pulled my pulk down a snowmobile trail at night into some crown land in the Algonquin Highlands. Lots of snow, sleet and frigid temperatures. Very quiet and peaceful spot, the forest looked like it was covered in marshmallow.

The stunning winter landscapes you've captured in this video could convince even the most hesitant non-camper to give it a try

So many things about your video that others don't have...1. Tent groundsheet vs snowy, wet floor 2. Sled vs 25 kg backpack. 3. You talk! vs ASMR (hate those) 4. You stayed for 2 nights vs the most common 1 (hardly worth setting up for) 5. Etc... YT suggested your video and I'm glad it did. You're doing a great job of capturing your experience! Subbed 👍

Ut oh spagetti O's. Oh the memories. Nice tent set up. Fire close to the tree trunk can cause a root fire. But, a great video. Enjoyed very much.

Yo cool camp, nice snow. Beautiful atmosphere. As a camper and rider please be careful, you don’t hear snowmobiles until they’re right on top of you. It’s not easy jumping out of the way with a pulk sled. Great stuff

Thanks for the advice and you are right about not hearing them until they are on top of you, especially in hilly-terrain like this. When I went to collect wood I had some come up on me very quickly but luckily I had heard them and was able to stay clear. Thanks for watching!

You got me laughing when you mentionned going away from the snowmobil trail at night , setting camp , and finding out in the morning that you where almost on the trail 😂 . Great snowy camp . The tent you had , was it the Trango ? First time I see that kind of mixed food , spaghetti with beans 😅 . Thanks for the video !
@wildernesscanuck5 ай бұрын
I was quite surprised myself! Difficult navigating in darkness I guess! Thanks for watching, yes that tent is the Trango 4 from Mountain Hardwear. It takes a while to get set up but is very strong and spacious!

Loved your video, but Spaghetto's and Beans? LOL I think I threw up in my mouth. Always hated Spaghettios as a kid. God Bless you. How were the Beaver Lined Gloves?
@wildernesscanuck4 ай бұрын
Haha it was actually pretty tasty! The gloves were OK, they are pretty big so my hands had a lot of room inside which meant they were hard to keep on with my arms down, had to keep my hands bunched up to keep them from slipping off, I think if I added a pair of gloves as a liner they would be perfect. God bless you as well!

Thank you for the reply. It's a problem for me as my hands are so little and I struggle while cooking with cast iron outside. So Annoying. I look forward to more. Be Safe @@wildernesscanuck

@@wildernesscanuck Hi, I happen to love the camping solo videos. We don’t need them to bring the whole family or 10 friends to make it interesting. It’s getting some down time, alone time, if others don’t understand that need, s…w them. Thanks for this video and please do more.👍🏻

@catfishm.1361 thanks a lot! I totally agree with you, being alone in nature is the way to go, most of the time.
