Hi Melissa, The cabbage bowl definitely adds to the overall appearance of the platter. However, if you try this, please be careful as it is not so easy to do. Love the look of the classic vegetable platter with the purple cabbage in the middle and the vegetables settingsin the different cups and pan.just wonders how you scrape the inside or the purple cabbage it most not be that easy. Vegetables look really fresh

Should I blanch my veggies first?

@MrBlaklip Hi MrBlaklip, Generally, a crudite consists of raw veggies. So I never blanch them. Definitely wash your vegetables. Think about muching on a carrot stick, a piece of cucumber, or celery with your favorite dip. It doesn't need to be blanched.
