Hello dear viewers! It's so nice to see this video get a sudden resurgence of views, considering it's a few years old, and was made back in the days when I knew very little about filmmaking! I wanted to let you all know that Aladino and I have actually started a brand NEW river journey through France, this time in an effort to get North. It will be turned into quite a well documented series, which you can follow along here if you wish! New episodes will be added to this playlist as they're published. kzbin.info/aero/PLixt_4jBlVZwTZe0DTLaLS4CphvNwz1mp

I found the series North thru the contenannt first. And then found the beginning of your story. I saw in the last video that you had your cell phone tucked into the top of your tank top. I’ve heard this is not a healthy place to store it. Young women have be found to have breast cancer from this habit of storage. The new smart phone are very powerful. Be well. Love your music listening on Spotify. Thank for sharing it. Wishing you and Aladino and long and happy sailing lifestyle.

Autumn Leaves! Perfect Jazz song! You wonderful sailors! Just started watching tonight. I lived in St. Augustine, Florida on my 1971 Irwin sailboat until the recent hurricanes. Back on Lake Erie by Put in Bay and Marblehead area. Just bought a 22ft Catalina. Have to be on the water.

I wasn’t aware France had such an extensive canal system. That looks like it’d be an amazing journey to take. Your audio levels are nicely done as well, and you obviously know your music as the selections always seem to fit the setting.

It's beautiful. The effect is almost like looking back through time at a simpler time. I often get the same feeling when watching my great uncle's super 8 videos we have of nearly every family reunion and vacation when he was alive. I love your music selection also. As a trumpet player, I've really enjoyed the score.

What lovely canals. I did a trip in the north east French canals , mainly built by Napoleon and standardized , but we found the canals were built outside a lot of the towns making some of the stops in almost no where! But the locks were almost all semi-automatic. I sailed the Dutch canal many times and they are so old the towns are built around the canal so you stop in the middle of towns , wonderful. I love canals, Your sound is so good you must really know what you a doing! Cheers Warren

I have discovered your channel through a friend who recommended your North through the Continent series. It was interesting watching you go through these locks since I have for several months been binge watching several UK narrowboat channels. Their canals are from 2-4 feet deep, the speed limit is 4mph and almost no one goes that fast. They almost always have to operate the locks themselves and it appears that 1/2 hour per lock is considered quite fast. I think I’m really going to enjoy watching your videos. Thank you.

Thank you for this episode, which I watched after seeing your How-to episode on starting a KZbin channel. We are a sailing family and have a KZbin channel, but we have very few subscribers; I am inconsistent with making videos and I stay away from flashing semi-naked bodies in our episodes. I loved the story your canal-sailing tells, and the music behind it. It flows, just like the rivers you featured. Best of luck and congratulations on your meaningful and tasteful filming!
