I stumbled accross your channel when you were cruising the mediterranean see in MC One. Then I follwed your travel during the pandemic through the french channels and the the river Rhine. I saw the moments of despair during the refit. I think I did not miss one single episode and I hope I will not miss a future one. I love your story telling, your skilled filming and the familiar, personal moments with Aladino, your Mom and Dad and your frieds. And last but not least your resilience. Every Friday is a precious moment for me to end the week in your company. Thank you for each of these moments.

I couldn’t help but laughing when Maya goes all-in about the book and in line with her education goes a bit arty farty where Aladino just goes “hmm yes totally, hmm” and eventually goes to the bbq to check the food. Very elegant and supportive as he is, he managed the situation well. 😂Probably wrong interpretation but I almost heard him thinking “please let me go back to the boatyard and do some work, that’s my kind of poetry” 😁

Now that I'm old and live in a nursing home, your weekly videos are balm for my soul - thank you ever so much! It's a bit like my old, seagoing days. Do you allow me a remark? It seems like the boat is a bit down at the stem. This reinforces the impression of stubbiness that the mast gives. If at all possible, I think giving it a bit of rake would look really good.

After starting the Cruise my parents wondered at each meeting, when are you going back to work? That lasted 22 years and truly not long enough. You are the best you know.

Without the refit, there would be no sailing. Your future sailing may mean more refit as you live aboard and put knots behind you. Thank you for sharing your adventure afloat and the places you visit.

Ahhh! Maya.... Loved this episode! THIS is the whole point of all that 'labor'... yes, it was fun watching the 'rebuild', but now you can enjoy it!!! And , as you well know, living on a 'boat' it won't be long before there's something that needs your attention!! Thanks for posting, and your parents for sharing themselves!!!

I enjoy all your episodes. (I'm sure you've been told before, but your voice sounds just like your lovely mother's.) I watched all the refit episodes. The inside of the boat is beautiful .

Thanks for sharing. I live in Washington state and this time of year I spend my days inside a warm and dry home. When I was younger I looked forward to winter skiing and cross country on snow shoes but now my bones break too easily. If I was living on a boat I would probably go to a forced air diesel heater with thermostat control.

My favorite part is the poetic romanticism of your view, it comes out more on board and has been crushed more ashore but it still appears in both because there you are. I also love when you meet strangers and make ad hoc music. It's not just the wonderful music (but remember the hot club style music?) It's so romantic an idea to come together with strangers with kindred spirits and make something that never existed before. Your discussion of the book was a highlight for me, quite nice. Also nice to meet your mum a bit. Does she do music? Can't imagine how it would work but it would be grand to see your parents more asea, like a six or twelve week sail with the two of you. I wonder what it would be like to have Aladino read the poetry to us. I get so much more from reading it myself most of the time. Some readers capture me, but with my attention deficit marvelousness that's rare (but SO appreciated when someone can capture me like that:)

Enjoying a boat and fixing it are hand in hand. No avoiding it unless you're rich. One day I'll know how to fix something that broke on mine because of your extensive refit. All good. No lifestyle is all fun and games.

I’ve sailed tens of thousands miles and had hard dinghies and inflatables. I love a hard dinghy capable of sailing when anchored in a quiet location. However when it comes to trying to get to the shore in any kind of a blow, you can’t beat an inflatable with an outboard. Holly of WindHippie who has sailed single handed 1/2 way around the world just made the transition to an inflatable. Might want to check out her video. You’ve done a magnificent job with Magic Carpet11 and I’m sooooooo happy you are finally getting to sail her. It’s obvious that this has greatly improved Maya’s outlook and is bringing her much joy!⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️👏👏👏👏👏

Before I could not wait for new video, nowadays it's about - hmm, new video .. just to check it .. nothing ... skip forward .. and again and again ... just to find nothing interesting (sorry, don't want to be rude .. fully understand there are people who love this new content)...
