I lived in Southeast Alaska for 34 yrs. loved seeing it again. Don’t worried about the Forrest. When I moved out of the State we were logging some of the same ground my father logged when I was a kid. It was already 24 to 26 inch’s in diameter. Grows back as fast as you cut it down. The Forrest service hirers people to thin it as it grows.

I think it’s truly amazing that in a world with billions of people, you can sail into a cove and be all alone with nothing but nature surrounding you! After watching your videos of the Inside Passage, I believe it must be one of the most beautiful places on earth! Thanks for sharing!

11:41 So glad to see your anchor came up cleanly! So many of those old logging areas have heavy steel cables and equipment all over the bottom. Often if it takes a while for your anchor to set, you will hook a cable. We've had our anchor stuck a few times-- now if we know we are in an old logging area, we usually rig a tripping line on the anchor before we drop it.

I get involved in your adventures, then I check how much more time there is before the video ends, and say, "Oh no, it's almost over." The moral of the story is ... None of your followers would complain if your videos were A WHOLE LOT LONGER!

Wow I can't believe I have been following you guys now for almost two years! I remember I started following on Ep.6 and since then I've always loved watching each episode. The editing is always amazing while filming every detail and always capturing the beauty of each place. I was born on a sailing boat and lived my first 10 years on one, can't wait to get back on one day, saving every penny for that time to arrive, in the meantime I can live the dream watching each of your episodes. If you guys ever stop in Australia I would love to meet you both :)

Wonderful videos, guys. I flew much of your route in a small helicopter a couple of months after you passed through (November 2018)-- it was a ferry flight from Anchorage to LA and we decided to ride one particular high-pressure system all the way down the coast to the contiguous US, so we didn't have much time to stop and look around. Still, our three-ish days in Alaska and BC were some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen. It's great to see the same places from your perspective on the sailboat, taking time and really soaking in all that beauty. Makes me want to go buy a boat right now!

I agree with David below. Ran Sailing is the best Adventure Sailing Channel. Want to offer a different take on your comment regarding the clear cutting of timber - it should not be looked on as kind of sad. Alaska has an unimaginable vastness of designated wilderness area. When you see carefully managed forests, they should be thought of almost no differently from seeing any type of farm crop. Young trees which are planted after harvesting older trees produce more O2 than the trees that were harvested. The trees that are harvested are very important to our society. They also act as a great CO2 long term sink. Modern forestry is a very green thing.
