oh man im so bummed this project fell through, it would have been so hilarious to actually follow the building of the island and the obvious disasters waiting to happen when people actually would start to live there! it would have been so funny to see all the videos about how horrible everything was planned and how people are getting stuck there for weeks without transport and stuff like that!

So, I might know a guy who works for the army corps of engineers, in the realm of sanitation and water treatment. I sent him an image of the island and asked him if he thought that freshwater systems, sewage treatment, and all the pipes would even be possible on an island so small. He asked me where the island was, because apparently you can pipe sewage away from the island if the "mother" country permits it. I showed him. He said he laughed so hard he nearly pissed himself up. Apparently, Fiji has population caps on its smaller islands and just the employees and maintenance workers of Cryptoland would likely max it out. Thought I would share that with you.

The amount of money you'd need to invest into turning that particular island into a place people can live on yearly is fucking absurd, oh and forget about having villas or other fancy buildings, everything would need to be dug-in concrete blocks with a bunch of stuff being underground like you're playing dwarf fortress. Why? Because like OP said, it's typhoons all year round there, no half-assed structure is going to survive that level of punishment on a island that small.
@chadschmaltz9790
@chadschmaltz9790 2 жыл бұрын
The lack of weatherproofing was something I noticed about the animated movie they made and the sketches that were shown in one of their other videos. The animation showed a lot of open air areas, one of which was supposed to be where all the computers were supposed to be stored. Even without typhoons, computers being exposed to the ocean air and sand would be a constant nightmare.
@mikoto7693
@mikoto7693 2 жыл бұрын
The cost of regularly repairs from these typhoons would be be astronomical. But for me the amusing thing is the video promoting Cryptoland featured a casino. That’s a problem given that’s illegal in Fiji and had to walk it back. That shows how sloppy they were in designing this plan without managing to do simple and easy basic research.

Has anyone found out who the animators/ voice actors/ production team for the CryptoLand cartoon were? I know they grabbed 3D models off the internet (Conny was from a short lived dodgy gambling app and the seagull they stole without permission, same for the inside model of apartment.. apparently the owner’s QR code is to the left of the door (on the right from where we view it), and the road approaching Blockchain Hills was a slightly repainted still from a game I think?), but I’m really wanting to know the story of how this was made but especially the commissioning customers and their requirements/ demands? Heck, who did the music even? I love that there were really incompetent BS merchants fronting this, but they managed to create one concrete “asset” - that animation. Or rather they assembled a team to produce it. I would love to hear that story! Ok you might not want it on your CV or to be associated with it publicly especially going into that profession (as animator/ actor/ musician) … for all the cringe content I think a lot of the movement and facial expression was pretty effective. Ironically I think it will always be a key internet moment, but there were talented folks in there - heck the voice actors may have been trying to posh a turd of a script, but they got it to shine in places! The “making of” story of this now legendary production must now be told!! ☺️❤️ Maybe one day a sequel… “Conny’s Confessions”? I know it’s wrong, but that scamming wee coin with those nightmare 👀, stole a little bit of my heart lol

The crypto laundering websites people use to hide their tracks is in fact not anonymous. Every user's information, such as the device they use, their location, their wallets, their accounts, their redeem codes, and so on, are all still recorded and those companies still have to physically host those servers somewhere on the planet. Those companies still have to abide by the law of where they host. The investigative teams in several nations are quite easily able to acquire the data they need from these crypto tornado websites with zero hesitation from the company. How do I know this? Because it is happening.

You’re probably right, but could an alternative excuse he could make is that after buying land that the sellers didn’t own, it took months for him to get his money back from crypto land. Then because he wants to keep the false image of a crypto genius who never makes bad investments, he removed the video from KZbin. Like I said, I probably think you’re correct, but this could be an alternative explanation not in your video. Either way, there were many people who got scammed who didn’t get a cent back.

I was thinking the same thing, but Kyle's reaction to the info coming out by deleting his video makes me suspect that Callum is probably right. @@CallumUpton yeah true, I guess it depends on how much money he thought he was going to scam off others originally. Then decided that losing the thousands in gas fees was a hit he was going to have to take. But like I say, your probably correct in your assumptions. I went back and watched your first initial video and there seems to be more evidence lining up he was more integral to crypto lands launch. I did find his statement that “the owners spent $500,000 of their own money setting this up” intriguing as that is exactly what he put into the crypto land wallet.

They specifically did not dedicate the NFT money to buying the island so they couldn't get rung up for selling land they didn't own. This also meant that the NFTs weren't buying the island and Cryptoland was SOMEHOW supposed to raise another like $100 million to pay for everything without selling the plots (again) which was the single most valuable aspect of the project and the only aspect of the project that offered even potential tangible value.

The reason no one lives there is the number of typhoons that hit the island? Oh, how glorious that would have been, watching them start to build then it's wiped away.

its actually a retreat for a British knighted family. you can look the island up and for 12 million island getaway for a family in Asia its actually pretty nice. problem is there are hundreds of similar get ups.

Makes sense but if I wanted to find a reason I'd say maybe they returned the money tp him after the project was canceled, not him sending the ETH back to himself.

If the wallet numbers are hexadecimal, that one is number 861,805, so there ought to be about a million wallets. Since one person can have several wallets, there are probably (far) less than a million people in the world who are into crypto.

Its a real shame this project failed...would have been nice to have all the cyptobros in one, easily contianable, place, where we could all easily ignore them...

Almost wish this succeeded. I would love to send all the crypto bros to one island. Like a reverse Epstein

I was hoping the fraud would hold together till it got as many Cryptobros on the island at least. With any luck, a lot would have possibly been culled through a combination of wildlife, dangerous weather, and rampant disease.

Hi Callum! I ran into you from BigFryTV's initial coverage of Earth 2.0 and I'm glad I did. You've lowkey motivated me to get back into the tech scene as I was getting pretty complainant at my current job. Now, I've been reinvigurated and have been learning all about Cyber Security, virtual machines, Kali Linux, proxy chains, Python and goodness knows what else. I would love to find someone like yourself near me in real life, someone I can shoot the shit with regarding all of the topics you've covered. Keep doing what your doing buddy, it's definitely got value to your community.

Nice. Does this make Kyle the "mastermind" behind it? Or did someone just garentee him his money back?

Could it be that.... The guy purchased something. You say thats proof that he actually paid for it. That something was never delivered on, so, to not be accused of scamming people out of money/pulling the rug, they ... paid him back? I don't know enough about crypto, but with the information in this video, that's my first thought. It was a terrible project, agreed, but that transaction they "uncovered" doesn't seem weird to me. If I'm wrong, would love to know why.

Honest question: Since when did crypto projects pay back their investors? We DO know that Kyle is forming the House of DAO on an island somewhere in Thailand that isn't too dissimilar to Cryptoland. Think of Cryptoland as the flashy younger brother to the House of DAO. Besides, there is a House of DAO on Cryptoland.

Yeah. I agree on most of his points except the last which is just a massive jump, this is not proof of him being the "REAL creator of Cryptoland" or even close to it IMO. He bought it (yes), it was his wallet (yes), he got a discount (yes), he is the creator(?), he just got a refund when the project failed (imo). He even said ppl are now going to prison for crypto fraud in the video. Giving even more likelyhood of this being just a refund. He could have threatened lawsuit or whatever. Also in the clip he shows Kyle said "it has been long time coming" or something, I would interpret that as them having drafted some sort of legal contract before agreeing to the purchase, but idk maybe he is talking about something else. But I think it would be safe to assume he played it safe when buying something like this, he got a discount out of them after all, refund (if the project is unsucessful) would likely be part of the agreement.
