to clarify for those who are making the dumpling wrappers from scratch: you want to use wheat STARCH (澄粉 in chinese), not any form of regular flour! in chinese wheat flour and wheat starch refer to the same thing and is used interchangeably, although I'm realizing that it's a bit confusing once translated to english....

That is something my Dad would do! He made Hong Kong fun gow (sp?) Dumplings ...it was a family project. Of course his looked the best but sometimes he'd make animals for us. Couldn't stop eating those dumplings! My husband said I have to do this. I have a House Rabbit.

I wasn’t going to do anything special this new year, but after seeing this recipe and your egg roll cookie recipe, I think I’ll try them out and do something special even if it’s just for myself. Such a cute recipe and you make it look easy to make the wrapper & rabbit shape. Proper term is Lunar New Year... unless of course you believe Jan. 1 is Australian New Year, United States New Year, Ghanian New Year, etc.

thank you! chinese new year, lunar new year, and the spring festival all refer to the same thing -- but since lots of east asian countries celebrate it and my recipes are derived from chinese culture and customs i believe "chinese new year" offers more clarity😊
