So that one time that I used Ayahuasca and I Heard a voice telling me not to be afraid and that they were going to "take me somewhere"... That was literally the ayahuasca talking to me? I thought I was an angel or something like that. I was so terrified that I tried to think of a way to run away from it and even considered climbing a tree but I knew I wasn't fast enough to outrun the spirit that was inside me, and then I remember begging my brother to not leave me alone and keep his hands on me and praying for me and he did so for what seems to be about 9 hours. I had no idea it was such a wicked spirit, and I'm so glad I found the Lord and I don't use drugs anymore. It took a long time to get through it all and the worst of it was an 11-year stretch being addicted to heroin, which just ended 2 years ago.

Thank God this stuff wasn't popular when I was a teen cause I probably would have tried it. But back in the late 90s I started tripping Robitussin. And it is VERY bizarre experience. One time I thought I was abducted by Aliens and when I disobeyed them for the third time by looking directly at them and telepathically asking them what was their opinion of Jesus, they immediately beamed me back into my friend car. But I didn't want to go because of my curiosity. So I told myself in a few weeks I'll do it again and when the trip kicks in I'll get into a meditative state and then ask them if they are out there and that wasn't just a hallucination then come pick me up again. I was literally going to ask them to come get me. But God stopped me from doing it by sending me a dream. I dreamed that I went into the bathroom to drink an entire large sized bottle of it. But when I opened the bathroom door the bathroom was like fifty feet taller than normal and there was a telephone pole/ street light in my bathroom. The streetlight was off but the bathroom light was on. So I shrugged my shoulders and drank the whole bottle. When I threw the bottle in the trashcan the bathroom light blew out and the street light flickered and came on. The whole bathroom was dark except there was a circle of light shining around the trashcan. And I could see the bottle on top of the trash and I could see it had a picture of skull and crossbones ☠️ on it. So I picked it up to get a closer look and it said "poison/ death" I looked closer and saw it was Robitussin N/A rather than dm. (I Have since looked in stores and even online for that type and have never been able to find it) and I thought 🤔 "OH NO I DRANK THE WRONG KIND IM GOING TO DIE" I dropped the bottle, it shattered and I woke up. Went outside and convinced myself it was just a dream. I forgot about the dream and never told anyone about it. Then a few weeks later my friend went into the store and stole two bottles. He gave one to me and we went across the street to drink it. As soon as I held it up to my lips I saw were it said Robitussin N/A, despite the fact that I had never even heard of this type, (and yes drinking the wrong kind can kill you) immediately I remembered the dream so I threw both of our bottles away. As I was walking off I realized we had been standing directly under a street light. It was a dark cloudy night and without the street light I never would have noticed he stole the wrong kind. So I stopped doing that and never attempted to ask the aliens to come get me.

Aside from the fact that all he cared about was if someone was listening in. It wasn’t because he realized he was being judgmental. He just didn’t want anyone to witness it. Lol. We all have our own journey. He is not more righteous than anyone else in this world but seems to think he is. As someone who has been seeking Jesus and doing my best to discern right and wrong in Jesus for 7 years now, having no background in any Bible teachings growing up. I’ve had to seek for myself. Jesus was with me through all of the searching, even when I was seeking in new age. He brought me out of it. Judgmental Christians like this are what keeps seeking people like me away from religion. Congratulations.

I’ve experience a similar thing to Aaron Rodgers on ayahuasca, it’s nice to hear his experience. I’m now walking daily with Jesus, healing, and stepping away from being deep in the new age. Thank you for your show, it can be a lonely walk for those out of the New Age. I’ve found this channel to be home for growth and understanding on my walk. I pray for these men on their walk for truth. That their hearts are grabbed by Christ and their soul is filled with the evident truth the trinity brings. The search is over with Christ. Also- I’d like you to expand more on the role of women called to be single for the purpose of the Lord? Where is her place in the body outside of the role of marriage? Not all are called to be married.

I was definitely one of the women before salvation wore the pants in my marriage and was trying to fight to control all aspects and lead under the guise of having more knowledge and wanting to know what was going on with events, family, and finances. Complete switch once saved. I now go to my husband with everything and ask him about finances, leisure activities, and especially with me going back to school for my LPN to RN. It's refreshing to be a team with him leading us and me trusting his advice and hearing his concerns.

@sharpenedge even if he may lack knowledge over a specific thing and I believe I know/understand more, that does not mean I become the leader or controller. I still go to him, just as I go to Jesus. In times he may not have the full story/needs more information, he leans into Jesus, the church, discipleship, and research to address what I am coming to him with.

@@lydiasibbalds688 If you're lost in a forest with your family in tow, and you believe you know the way out, and you're 99% convinced your husband is leading you and your kids deeper into the wilderness (idk, because he doesn't like to ask for directions for some reason), would you sacrifice your confidence in order to avoid 'becoming the leader or controller' ?
@lydiasibbalds688
@lydiasibbalds688 Жыл бұрын
@sharpenedge thankfully, my God-fearing husband asks for directions, as I clearly explained in my previous comment. He prays over it, reads God's word, researches, and discusses the situation with our Pastor, Elders, and other true believers. There are times where, on his part, he does ask me for my advice or what I would like to do, etc. because he loves me. But I did my part as the church and brought my worry, concerns, ideas, and whatnot to him rather than doing it on my own or forcing him to do it my way because I said so. My role is the church. I may not understand where Jesus is leading me all the time, but that doesn't mean I disobey Him, take the reins for myself, and try to control my will. Going to my husband first, as he is the role of Jesus in our marriage, it is me trusting our Lord to lead my husband. Sure, I may struggle at times to trust my husband, but that would then be a reflection of me not trusting Jesus because that is what marriage represents: the church and Jesus Christ. Wanting God's will to be done is my husband's goal while leading us, and that's my goal as well. Submitting to my husband and allowing him to lead does not mean I am his slave or have no say whatsoever. It also doesn't mean he will lead us to failure the second he doesn't have total and complete knowledge. Like my schooling for example. He doesn't have full knowledge of credit hours and the classes I'm taking, but I can provide him that information and get his input about part versus full time, and what days to have classes on that will work best for both of our schedules. He is invovled, understanding, and I trust him to make decisions that benefit me, our family, and point to Jesus above all else.

Ex psychedelic user here. I’ve since found Christ. This was in 2015-2017 before I had a family and a happy home. I was living alone. Basically couch surfing. I tried lsd for the first time in 2016 and thought I saw “god” and thought I saw the real one truth. I was already skeptical of Christianity but this made me completely reject Jesus and all religion. I thought I was one with the “universe” and that religion and Jesus was just a way to confuse people. I was being mislead. While this was happening my life was crumbling around me and I was beating my head against a wall with frustration at the world all the while thinking that if everyone just knew what I knew that everything would be okay. In my persuit of what I thought was the truth it only lead me further and further from it. This is exactly how satan works. He shows you something that resembles truth and bastardizes it’s and leads you down a path of chaos. Once I got sober and of the drugs and psychedelics I met the love of my life and started a family. It wasn’t easy it took a lot of falls back down. Once I found god though there has nvever been a backslide or lost progress. I now live to serve god, my family and others. That’s the truth people.

Aaron Rodgers was raised in a Christian background, maybe even a good Christian background. Once in a podcast he mentioned a discussion he remembers from church about predestination and similar topics, I'm pretty sure he was at least partially exposed to the doctrines of grace. Unfortunately he later left the faith (was never a true Christian). However, despite his open rebellion against God, I can see he's still different from most other guys in a good sense, probably influenced by his Christian background. May God grant him true repentance and bring him to true faith.

Aaron Rodgers kind of just sounds like someone who has been searching for a long time for something to make his life whole and to seem purposeful and deep, and he thinks he found “it,” but really, he still sounds lost. I mean, I believe there is a spiritual component, but on the surface it sounds a lot like a bad trip. Why do they feel so good about talking about this? I just don’t get it. Yeah I had a terrible acid trip when I was around 17 and it definitely changed me.. I'm sure any intense psychedelic experience could have a lasting impact, but whether it's a high dose of this or that or whether it is ayahuasca tea, I'm not sure about the whole idea of it being a literal spirit. More likely it opens a person spiritually and makes them more vulnerable,... that's how I would understand it, at least.

Before becoming a Christian, I had multiple encounters with ayahuasca. It is a concoction that strips you down and opens you up to be vulnerable to the spiritual realm. Ayahuasca is a spirit, but I have encountered many spirits and entities while under the influence of the ayahuasca brew. Anyone who has taken ayahuasca, no matter what happens on it, will tell you it’s far more profound than a bad trip.

Take them to Jesus' parable about the demon who went out from the man. Eventually it decides to return to its home, which by that time was empty and had been swept clean, making room for the demon and even more to set up shop. Jesus is speaking to his disciples about the pharisies and the appearance of godliness and legalism, so it's not exactly a 1 to 1 comparison. But I think this is a good illustration of how an individual can clean up their life without God, but if God the Holy Spirit hasn't taken up residence in them and claimed them for His own, they are wide open for evil to creep back in.

The "Divine Feminine" as you are referring to it is not new. For approximately 30,000 to 40,000 years prior to our modern era, virtually all references to "God" or the "Creator" in "religions" were directed toward a female deity or deities--in every organized culture on the planet, where they worshipped a deity, they saw God as woman or Goddess (Goddesses). Only in relatively modern history with the rise of the Abrahamic religions has God been thought of or referred to as "He" or "Father." The Devine feminine is most decidedly not a "new age" phenomenon though the new age might claim it or claim to revive it.

I will always disagree with the approach to emotion here, it is a requirement of men to be capable and always ready to sacrifice and suppress their emotion and emotionalism for the sake of a greater and better sacrifice. This is one of the reflections for which Jesus demonstrated both in His Ministry and in His Sacrifice, men are not built in this fleshly/spirit corrupted (as in corrupted by the Original Sin) design to deal with emotions alternative to this and I would argue it is not healthy to do so. What would be healthy is not expressing emotion, which is clearly demonstrated by the reflection that men expressing emotion are still destroyed both by themselves and society, should men show no expression of emotion in any regard? No, but this was a private affair as it always should've been, men in the past would share their emotional turmoil historically (we can see this in many private letters throughout the ages and implications about private affairs often cropping up) with either very close male friends or their wife in private. (granted he believed should could handle it, this is not always the case and sometimes it needs to be in a fellowship, brotherhood, or by prayer that only such expressions be found) All this to say what's necessary is not expression but understanding, rationality and reasonableness, not expression, why do my emotions feel this way? What is it saying about me or my environment? Should I or should I not consider what it says in this case? These are necessary by God's order (for reason is part of His order) most especially in order to maintain wise and loving authority over a wife and family just as in yourself. I'd go as far as to describe it as even weak to express emotion without foremost these basic understandings towards them and dealing with them for which must as a moments notice anyhow be tossed for the sake of service. That is the calling of a man, to be the reason against the chaos, just as Christ is reason against the chaos by being The Truth, The Way, and The Life. Emotions under that principle being expressed will result in chaos, emotions being regulated, reasoned about, and used as a tool for specific purpose, that is where God's order describes us to be reasonably.

I don't believe for 1 second that those who do not have Christ, have no actual fear of death. Being it to them face to face and they will. They're simply comparing it to to what they know, that they haven't experienced death. Not for 1 second.

Calvinism is good theology and has more respect for God than any other view. John Calvin adored our Lord Jesus, and his work has helped inspire billions of Christians throughout the centuries.

@@ericb.1384 This is not the channel I expect to hear the f bomb dropped quite like this. You can discuss heavy subject matter without the expletives. If I’m recommending a channel or watching something in front of my child, I want to be reasonably assured that kind of language isn’t being used.

The two men hosting the podcast didn’t use the f word, and they played a clip from another podcast where the person did use it, and they warned people with kids to not play it around their children if they were concerned.
