I did you tube guided meditation by a famous guru from India. It was very cool and peaceful and may my mind feel like I was going places. But at the end of the meditation a huge image of a terrifying cobra snake face popped in directed into my face. It was scary and long story I eventually gave up yoga and new age and am going to a Reformed Baptist church.

It gives them a chance to correct themselves, be more vigilant next time, correct, rebuke, evangelize to the candle company owners. I think they should consult Doreen Virtue regarding this. Im guessing a sponsor came. They took it at face value without checking. He did say he likes fantasy, so im guessing they took it in "chronicles of narnia" "lord of the rings" light. I recently watched a video by a Christian who had a lapse and took some kind of psychedelic drug with his friends - and he started having the worst experience of his life. He actually experienced that Hindu and New Age belief that all in the universe is actually one - that he was God, that that nothing existed outside of himself, it was all one with him. Hindus expect that reaching this state of enlightenment will be experienced as supreme bliss - but he said it was the most terrifying and horrifying experience of his life, he felt like he was in hell: because of the utter loneliness of feeling like he was the only thing that existed. So very different from the Christian belief of existing as a separate person in loving relationship with God, our creator.

Hinduism like Buddhism isn't really an organised religion based upon a central book like for the Abrahamic faiths for example. Hinduism ranges from schools which focus on understanding the mind, how the mind is responsible for our joy and suffering and our entire experience in this world to deity worship such engaging with higher beings. I highly recommend you develop a meditative practice, understand the mind and how the mind words and then you can look into any religion. Buddhism is a nice start as its foundation is within Hinduism. Listening to an ex Hindu on a Christian page will never really give you a fair description tbh

About Caste: Hinduism clearly mentions that caste depends on your own actions and activities and not in which family we are born into. Bhagavad Gita 4.13: The four categories of occupations were created by Me according to people’s qualities and activities. Although I am the Creator of this system, know Me to be the Non-doer and Eternal. Commentary of Bhagavad Gita of Shankaracharya states --- The fourfold caste, the aggregate of the four castes, was created by Me, as stated in the Śruti: "The Brahmana was His mouth, etc. (R. V. X-90-12), by the differentiation of Guna and karma, according to the distribution of the gunas--sattva, rajas and tamas, and according to the distribution of work (activities). The karmas of the Brahmana, the good in whom (sattva: good- ness) predominates, are tranquillity, self-restraint, austerity, etc. (XVIII-42). The karmas of the Ksatriya, in whom rajas (activity) predominates eclipsing sattva, are prowess, boldness, etc. (XVIII-43). The duties of the Vaisya, in whom rajas predominates eclipsing tamas (darkness), are agriculture, ctc. (XVIII-44). The duty of the Sudra, in whom tamas predominates eclipsing rajas, is service alone. Thus the fourfold caste has been created by Me in accordance with the differences in Guna and karma. If you implement rules like you can rape anyone, just repent at the end of the day, then you will get hundreds of people raping children in churches but felt satisfied because they repented. Niyog: not justiciable for present day standards as we have multiple methods for conceiving but back then when such methods were not available, with the consent of both the man and the woman, the woman was impregnated by a man other than her husband, in order to bear a child. This sexual intercourse did not involve foreplay and the ancient method to conduct this practice also involved a curtain or layer of cloth between the man and the woman to prevent any kind of passion. It was purely for the purpose of bearing a child.
