Continuing our time in Pampanga - a province northwest of Manila! It is known as the Culinary Capital of the Philippines. Today we visit Comercio Central, a new food and lifestyle market in Pampanga. It's only been around for two years and has grown to the market it is today featuring Filipino food, foreign food, and more! It's not only a food market there's also performances and vendors selling arts & crafts. I believe besides this food court there are more booths surrounding the market. It's pretty big! We were a bit tired from traveling all day so we didn't get a chance to try everything but we hope you do!!

Got to love a good mango float. I would love the bbq it is always awesome in the Philippines. The shrimp and crab I can do not sure about the intestines and I knew before you took a bit the the dynomite would be very spicy so that is off the list for me haha. I can't wait to go back to the Philippines to try more street food.

I don't know how you feel about that male companion/guide picking up your food as he describes each then putting it right back so you could feast on it. I would certainly be disgusted if someone does that to my food. Where the heck are their manners. It is totally inexcusable and utterly crass to display such ignorance of good hygiene especially so when you consider yourself a professional food/tour guide.😬

Chicharon bulaklak is the pork mesentary. The mesentery is the organ that suspends the intestine and supplies it with blood vessels and nerves. The dynamite is spicy if they don't remove the seeds from the chili pepper. Ask if they cooked it with the seeds inside.

I think in San Fernando area. But it's a hit only at start. Eventually people didn't go anymore and stalls started to close down til this pandemic period

I used to cook the chicharon bulaklak back when i worked at a restaurant. It's not that hard and chewy. We boiled that for 2-3 hours and when we fry that , its crispy on the thin parts and soft on the thick parts. TJ, the Chicharon you ate is not that good.
