youngmomsclub.com Ok so I kinda found a cure for depression... I'm a pretty happy person. There aren't a lot of people who can say they've seen me really, really upset because even when shit hits the fan, I stay pretty calm and just figure it out.
So it might surprise you that I've battled with depression and have been on anti-depressants 4 different times
In today's video, I talk about what led to it and how I accidentally cured my depression.

Yep. I started struggling with my mental health when I was 11. When I was 22 I started exercising daily. The happiest I have ever been was when I would run 4-6 miles a day at 7.5 mph (fast and vigorous for me) and ate mainly fruits and vegetables. When my treadmill broke I quit exercising regularly. I started eating crap during the Holiday season and my mental health rapidly deteriorated.

Being depressed because of traumatic life events is different from clinical depression. The title is misleading.

i think reactive depression (from traumatic life events) can also fall under clinical depression along with 'Idiopathic Depression' ... antidepressants work best for the latter :)

There are several factors in treating depression naturally. One place I found which succeeds in merging these is the Martos Magic Method (google it if you're interested) it's the most helpful guide i've heard of. Check out the great info .

I think the difference between is it either caused by one traumatic event or repeated traumas over time. If you've become depressed for obvious traumatic events is one thing, being exposed to traumatic situations for a long period of time and developing complex trauma is different. Meaning that day all cause similar results but the way to solve it requires finding the ways to root cause of those complex traumas.
@Roberto-xw2kk
@Roberto-xw2kk 7 жыл бұрын
not different at all, unless you mean a completely biological depression, which is extremely rare (and still, often, it is due to a chronic systemic inflammation). Just, as someone stated on a reply, the difference is one defined trauma versus several traumas (usually during development) , the latter often goes unnoticed, builds up slowly, and requires much more work (with the aid of a professional) to unrevel what's going on and to change your inner world, not everyone can do it, it's hard and many people lack introspection. Of course a healty lifestyle is suggested in both cases, and in some lucky, not so deep rooted, and not so old case it can be enought, but a healthy lifestyle is also suggested if you aren't depressed and want to stay healthy and minimize your risk of diseases/disorders.

*here's what she did @ ******3:24* .exercise works for most but really its just keeping your mind or body busy/occupied. you need to get anyway from your "normal", find something "new" to do. pick up a new hobby, join a club/group, play a sport, start to paint, learn a language, get a pet, find a new job, travel out of town/country, relocate, etc.

I'm doing my GCSE s this summer, I'm almost 16 and I've been depressed for nearly three years. Ive just put a brave face on and told no one. I lost nearly all my friends because of it, I don't see the point in trying in life or life itself. I generally smart but nothing is ever good enough, eve. an A I'd just pass over. I've climbed a mountain for charity, won school trips and got everything I want (phone, tablet, PC). I love sport but I can't even enjoy that anymore. I don't want to and can't physically revise for exams a d my recent mocks reflect it and that has made it worse. Nothing makes me happy, everything is just so boring, even the stuff I know I love. I'm usually super hyped about Xmas but I couldn't enjoy it this year. I can't sleep and that makes me worse too. I've had suicidal thoughts but something is still there telling me sometimes that I am successful. Nothing is ever good enough still, my best is never enoug and then I think I'm a piece of shit. I think I'm ugly and I stink even after bathing every night. I might try this and hope it works because I don't have the guts to tell anyone because I don't think anyone cares about me.

M Ross God is great ❤️ I speak from experience that Love and Hope is great medicine to battle depression. Everything you need is in your heart and in you mind. You have the artillery to fight. You are correct and I also get it when I'm alone. But Jesus' word helps. He is love. He is hope. I'm not even like super religious I'm just excited because I have felt him. Makes me want to cry tears of joy and all negative feelings go away. The Lord has unconditional love for all of us. And you can overcome these feelings. For it has been done before ;)

Dude, I would get off the Religion fast! That man made story has nothing to do with reality. Try Science, give it a try and you will find out the truth on how life works instead of believing in something that false. You can find comfort in any book or story, but give logic or science a try. It will help. Believe in yourself, not a made up idea!

I suffer from intrusive thought OCD. Its bad intrusive thoughts that play over and over again in your head. Very negative thoughts. It caused my depression cause it distressed me. I didn't know about certain types of OCD until I read up about it. (I found an article by accident) and I realize I checked every box for intrusive thought OCD. then I suddenly caused my distress to lift off me, because I realized I'm not what my thoughts define me as and I was able to move on :)

ok !!! there is a big difference between feeling pissed of and a little down , so getting out to do this is totally different from someone who is suffering deep depression for 20 yrs !! and who has tried everything , but has got to the stage of not being able to leave the house , answer the phone to anyone , because unable to speak most days . i am a mental health worker and i have seen this unfortunately to many times . it depends on what stage of the depression and how long you have been depressed and all the mix in with it like medication can make a person feel extremely sleepy . so unfortunately it's not one size fits all. and people are not stuiped most people who have lived through depression have already done all this and are now at the stage of just staying alive !!!

Literally just go outside for a walk my love. Make sure your phone or MP3 player is charged and you have headphones (if you like music) and go outside and walk around your neighborhood in the safe parts of course. Then just listen to your sweet tunes or even go without music and observe nature, the sky, clouds, the rocks, any animals or graffiti (if you're in the city or something) and just look around and notice your beautiful surroundings. And if your mind can't stop thinking crazy thoughts literally try asking your brain "Ok what do you have to say?... Hello?.. You there?... I'm talking to you brain say something!" You'll see that funny enough, it'll be too stumped at the request and won't really be able to respond lol. But another method that ALWAYS works for sure to calm your thoughts: just breathe. You know how you're always breathing but don't even notice it because it is automatic? Well now you're thinking about it 😉 notice your breath and seriously think about breathing like if you suddenly stopped thinking about it you would forget how to breathe!! That way you will see, your mind won't be able to think about anything else. 😋 (PS If you're in an area where it's not very nice to go outside at alllllll I encourage you to look up videos on either meditation or yoga on KZbin) They're AMAZING and you'll feel ridiculously amazing once you're done. Also if you like to read I suggest reading a book called "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" You'll be blown away. Much love and peace from me to you. And I hope to hear if this worked for you or not. But always remember, if what you have been doing all your life has NOT changed you for the better... Then do things that you have never done or never would think to try. You HAVE to expand your comfort zone or nothing will happen at all. Good luck darling. ❤️❤️❤️

The instance that I talk about in this video happened about 6 years ago.. that was just a really tough time for me. However, I still deal with it all the time. If I don't exercise for a few days, I'll start to feel depressed. Since I know that about myself, I try not to go anymore more than 1 or 2 days without exercising. It's when I really sweat hard that I feel like all the toxins and negativity is coming out, so I like to do hot yoga or Pilates. But if I can't get to a class for a while, like if my kid are on a break from school, I still make sure to do something everyday like walk with them while they ride their bikes, and throw some jogging in there, or just follow along with a 15 minute at home workout youtube video.

Thanks for this video. I talk to all the young women I know to take charge of their body and life. Who a woman choose to father their baby is a Very Big Decision. Is the man someone who would be present for that child no matter what? Some people call a feminist, but I kind of stick with the numbers, and I don't see a lot of devoted single dads out there. Sorry your husband was not there for you nor his children. I have many single mother friends. I grow up with a single mom, so I know how hard it is to shelter, love, nourish, care , protect and educate a child.

My girlfriend wants to go on anti depressants. About six months ago she was attacked and hasn't been able to get out and run like she used to. It's always been her therapy, her thing. I wish I could get out and do it with her for protection but I live a good three hours away. My work and her legal situation keep us apart. Anyways, things have become trying lately. I've never been on anti depressants. I've heard horror stories about them. I just need to get her through one more year and then she can move to the country with me. What types of anti depressants would you recommend based on your experience and what kind of side effects can we expect?

Go to the gym, don’t eat junk food, fast food, or drink any sodas or redbull and smoke weed, that is the best cure. Xoxo

You didn't have depression. You were going through a crappy patch in your life. So you didn't need anti-depressants. Exercising releases endorphins. So that's what made you feel better. You didn't beat depression. This is such an irresponsible post.
