I have similar issues but I don't have the great thickness as you do, looser curl pattern except the back and longer hair.. I style somewhat as you do but I'm going to try following your method to improve my curls. I find gray hair is harder to work with now that I'm getting more of it. Thank you for sharing your product choices especially that tool I desperately need it. Always have trouble with volume. Using a curling wand is smart.why you The finished look is beautiful 😍. Really liked the video it was informative and concise. Happy curls.

You have beautiful curls. You have done a great job figuring out how to deal with any problem areas with your hair. You are very fortunate. I was just wondering how your hair would look with hot rollers just to change it up if you wanted to. I am just curious to see how it would respond. I have some curl, body and waves. I lack volume in my crown also. I am not that great with styling my hair. I do use hot rollers if I’m going out and my hair really holds the curl. My hair dresser blows it out and it will go straight. Straight is fine ,but I still want volume at the roots and in my crown. Hope you are feeling better after surgery. Take care of yourself.

Hi Benita! You should try the styler brush I used in the video. It lets you select where you need volume and/or direction and doesn't disturb the curls or make them frizzy. I heard you saying that the hair around the ears take so much time to dry, for some strange reason' (min.7.10 in the video) ... Because the area around the ears have far more friction... we often sleep on the sides... the hairs in this area are more prone to be fragile and these hairs can be a bit more 'damaged' due to the friction (although we can't really see the damage) . So that hair is a (tiny) bit more fragile, often a little more 'fine' than the rest, it's higher porosity due to the potential 'damage' so it absorbs more water and product while washing and styling as well. Some people have particularly in this area another curl pattern, or they have to encourage the hair in that part more. And the more water content and/or product that's in the hair, the longer it takes to dry.

Is there any cheaper products you've found in the past that do something like this to your hair?
@rosepetal9748 Жыл бұрын
Hello. Do you something special for bed? Like a silk bonnet or something else? Or just head to bed like whatever. I will deal with it tomorrow. 😅 I do. But i am tired of styling everyday! You have hair almost exactly like I do. I shower at night and just leave it. Just curios what you do😊 or do you have a video??

Hi! I always shower in the mornings. At night, I pull my hair into a "pineapple" high on the top of my head with a non-pulling band.

That tool is great, but $55? Any cheaper substitutions?
@WelcomeToMyCurls Жыл бұрын
I know…it’s a bit pricey. I have never found anything like it. I paid the $55 and it’s worth it in my opinion

Why don't you use clips as you dry?
@WelcomeToMyCurls Жыл бұрын
Clips just don't have the same lasting effect.

I ordered the curling device in this video and it is very very over priced. I was shocked when I took it out of the box to discover that is is a very very light weight plastic. I accidentally dropped it on the tile floor and it popped open down the handle seam and I was able to pop it back in place. While I was waiting for tool to be delivered I noticed in Walmart a heated curling tool that appeared to have the same design for under $15.

Wow! You certainly put me to shame. I don't do make-up (because I look like a poor child with a crayon got a hold of my face and had a seizure on it). I don' do hair (because the harder I try, the worse it looks). I wrap my hair in your hair wraps (which I love) and let it sit for quite a while and then take it off, put a little anti-frizz stuff on (which does absolutely nothing to stop my hair from frizzing), and off I go. I don't dry my hair as heat damages my hair (even with a diffuser). My hair is thick and coarse and it can take it 3 hours to dry completely. I envy women who have the ability to do hair and make-up. I certainly didn't get any of that talent at all. So I quit trying. I'd love to have someone who could do my make-up and style my hair for me!!

I think the name is pronounced "Oh-bo-nah-chi"? Would make the most sense to me, since it's named after the mathematician Fibonacci. 😊

Good morning! That curler product looks amazing! You’ve definitely got it down pat as your hair looks great! Have a good day!

Thanks so much Susie!! It's taken a lot of years to fully embrace my curls. They didn't look so great back in my 20s because I just didn't understand how to "let them be free". But now I've got it! And...belly rubs to Ruby Bonita! 🐾
