Not really.. they'd need to import wood from far away (like Lebanon) just for that to get such long crosses, and Romans werer too practical for that. Most crosses were just existing trees that were cut down for the upright and then got a horizontal bar put on top when the feet were off the ground that was enough. whats there to appreciate? knowing that ai "art" is bad is common sense thats like saying eating sh!t is gross and getting congratulated for it. 🙄 btw why are you so scared of ai "art"? im an artist too and tech bros keep telling me over and over again (for well over a decade now) that im gonna get replaced by ai "soon". but people 100000s of times more intellegent than all of them put together havent gotten any closer, im still making money, and the tech bros are still unemployable and alone. in fact i cant even use ai to "help" me make art cause its all so bland, innacurate, and just plain bad. i can literally find a good thumbnail in a fraction of the time it takes any ai to come up with even ONE copied, butchered, and pasted iteration of worse art from worse artists. i swear to god EVERY piece of ai "art" sh!t os a chopped up sakimichan or artgern fanart. 🙄 probably two of the least creative or skilled artists on earth but the tech bros love shiny things and boobies. ai isnt a threat to good artists. it isnt even good enough to replace any of our tools. its a threat to bad lazy artists that just rip the rest of us off anyway though and thats a good thing.

I think the best use of ai art is for non artists (like me) to generate a ton of concept art to show actual artists (like you) to help more accurately describe what we are looking for when commissioning something. Multiple edits/iterations because of miscommunications sucks. But in capitalism, it's just being used to replace artists.

I think part of the extreme weirdness in the look is they've run the image generation AI to get the basic pictures, then they've run those pictures through an 'AI' face animator, which are pretty notorious for melting faces. It also explains a) why nothing moves relatively far from its original position b) why nothing has any distinct animation beyond slight mouth and eye movements, it's mostly relatively simple "warps", and c) other weirdness like why the Jesus poster was also animated and the lizard eyelids.

[short technical rant sorry lol] the specific thing about AI images being obvious is the lighting, and more specifically the supernatural dynamic range of the light, it's always HDR, ie the darks don't clip, the whites don't clip, and for realistic photographs the way you'd do it manually is by compositing like 5 pics with different exposure levels on top of each other, use the low end of the bright pics, and the high end of the dark pics, and blend everything together with photoshop's built-in HDR composite algorithm. The thing is AIs make almost every realistic pic HDR because we've bulk-trained them with pics with all kinds of different exposure levels indiscriminately, so the AI doesn't know to stick to one exposure level.

The name Easter comes from Eostara, the name of a local Eastern European goddess (Caucasus region, I think). We just "borrowed" the eggs, rabbits (fertility symbols) & other symbols, like the colours green & purple as symbolizing the Resurrection & return of Spring from the various Pagan cultures to bring them into the Christian faith & the Pagan symbols just sort of... stuck. WE stole a fuck-ton of shit from the Pagans.
