If the GPU has one 8 pin as I think it can you should go for type 5 as this comes with all of the required cables for motherboard. I grabbed the type 3 as it allowed for maximum future expansion of system. For only a few extra $ Please do your own checks and all of the types are available in the item description.

No these are just cable extensions. So they plug into the end of your existing cables
