Gaz from TJR has absolutely killed it with my very specific request for wider & reshaped rear arches on my Murcielago to help balance out the new wide GT1 front end.

He was wearing a mask when Phil entered the shop and later on in the video, it was only when they were testing the new sander that he wasn't wearing a mask. I'm sure he wears a mask day in day out working at a body shop.

So I do enjoy seeing the transformation of the Murcielago, with an actual, realistic process timeline. My favorite part is that the project is being done how you want it and the VLOGS are just a bonus for all of us. TOO MANY youtubers just focus on kissing the audiences ass, and no longer doing what they love. Its so frustrating to me when someone asks "What would you like to see????" My point is that if you do cool shit, you should never have to change your style to fit someone elses. The original reason for subbing to a lot of channels is because of original content, but everyone eventually falls inline and it blows. This is one of the rare channels that has pure content anymore. I swear to god, if you go and buy a "Wrecked supercar rebuild" I would personally fly over and break its windows, LMAO FUCK!!!! So many greedy bastards doing pony tricks for a dollar.

The standard rear quarter is carbon fibre. The new shape is made by cutting & pulling the quarter then filling & shaping with glass fibre. Then the carbon is put on & any excess can be ground back inside the arch.

@reallyanti
@reallyanti 4 жыл бұрын
The method he's using here will work and can be done in a garage. It's far from the "proper" way but if you're only making one car this is usually the way to go IMO. Wet layups over fiberglass are heavier, weaker, and will eventually delaminate. However, honestly it's not that bad it will still probably be fine especially for something small like this. I'd describe working with carbon as generally just a more difficult version of fiberglass. If you can work with fiberglass+polyester you could probably learn the correct methods for carbon+epoxy. Just more expensive when you mess up.

Just wanted to join in with all the other comments... The Mask is a 1994 American superhero comedy film directed by Charles Russell, produced by Bob Engelman, and written by Mike Werb, loosely based on the comic series of the same name published by Dark Horse Comics. The film stars Jim Carrey, Peter Riegert, Peter Greene, Amy Yasbeck, Richard Jeni, and Cameron Diaz in her film debut. It revolves around Stanley Ipkiss (Carrey), an unfortunate bank clerk who finds a magical mask that transforms him into a mischievous zoot-suited gangster. There I feel much better now...

Have you thought about what you’re going to do with the exhaust outlet? Going full GT1 look such as the below? (All be it squared up mind!) cdn-1.motorsport.com/static/img/mgl/200000/240000/243000/243500/243568/s8/bss-magny-cours-2005-13-reiter-eng-lamborghini-murcielago-r.jpg

I had the option of the later GT1 tips. They are different to the original RGT tips in that photo. I couldn't justify the expense & I'm actually a big fan of the single LP style outlet. It doesn't fit this bumper though, so I'm going to have to make my own.

I imagine that would work well, but we'll be okay with sanding now we have this tool.

More important than the mask, the guy will be decapitated if he doesn't tuck his tuggles of his jumper inside, I learnt this lesson with a machine polisher. Doing a great job but he needs to remove them toggles. Good work though guys

No thanks man. We want it to look like it's meant to be there so we're going to make a proper recess for a normal plate.
