Lol. As a single dad and Emergency Room nurse, I have just enough money to do a part of the projects. Which is to buy a new cut off wheel for air tool.

I love not just the innovation and the quality, but how it all works together. Just like when they build engines. Unlike those who say "look at all the black smoke, guess our af ratio is ok" banks researches, plans, builds and refines to perfection. Not like idiots whose test cells aren't properly cooled or don't have enough cool air flow.

I love this series and this channel in particular. I’m entertained and feel smarter for watching. They say true intelligence is being able to explain something very complicated or very simply, which, in my opinion makes Mr. Banks a genius. Keep on trucking my friends.

@bankspower3 жыл бұрын
Both the Super Turbo (Monster Truck Engine) and the L5P for “Killing a Duramax” on hold for an extended duration while we conduct testing for our military program in Dyno Cell # 1 & #2. The moment these projects are completed, we’ll roll both the Super Turbo and the Killing a Duramax back into the dyno cells.

Hopefully this isn't too late but you should have a pneumatic cylinder so you can open the bed with a push of a button. Because you already have air! It could be what actuates your fancy hinge

The designer at Morris Garages loved geometry. Once he settled on the octagon, he used it everywhere there might have been a circle. The pull starter knob was octagonal. Deforming the fender makes mechanical sense.

@davidstephens10923 жыл бұрын
@@bankspower I'm not sure that " dare " is a good word choice. It sounds like a challenge to me. I know the 6 bar hinge for the bed will look spectacular, but surely it would have been easier to hinge the upper part of the bed and the tailgate as an assembly from the bottom of the tailgate and use some linear actuators to open and close it.

Too Bad Gale Banks doesn't do anything anymore except tell everyone how he is building this awesome Supercharged Duramax but he hasn't done anything except tell people what he wants and everyone else does the work . So typical of Owners ! I will never do this to people I work with. I work right along with anyone I ask to do work WITH me not for me and I have Leukemia so age is not a issue because I'm weak and sick from taking Sprycel chemo pills but I still do all my work myself. I'd like to see Gale do some actual work and less BS talking ...
@twinkievsdingdong3 жыл бұрын
I work for Gale, and I can tell you in all honesty, he is in the office ALL THE TIME! He has so many different things going on. I understand your perspective but Gale is unique. He has a desire to work, to be apart of everything. Erik, Matt, And Jay have a lot of things going on as well. If you haven’t kept up with the series, this is all off work hours. Everyone working on this (and so many other projects including military) is working on LokJaw after hours and are passionate about not only this project, but many, and I mean MANY others. Gale makes the final decision on everything and its not only his knowledge but his absolute passions and unstoppable desires to drive all these project. From my experience, Gale is very much down to earth, charming, lives to learn, and loves to do and follow through. Lokjaw may look like its priority, but there are a tone of other projects happening here at Banks. If you really knew, you would understand how incredible Gale, and his dedicated team work. Hands on, strategic planning, data analysis, and life, happens all at ounce. Its a hard balance but I personally respect Gale, and everyone at his company knowing it from the inside out. Just saying. Hope you come by sometime and check it out if you want too. :)

BED WEIGHT SAVINGS!!! I'm gonna say it again. The current path is going to make the bed upper section way too heavy. Using laminates (carbon fiber and kevlar) with a soric core material would do everything you want without the massive weight penalty. A composite floor with oak laminate and metal strips screwed into it will kill two birds. You've got your wood finish with a perfectly clean underside. A 1 inch composite floor will hold a party on top.
