I realize one of the clips was turned sideways...unfortunately I wouldn't be able to fix that without uploading an entire new video. Still working on this video editing software and it has been a steep curve for me :(

Hello my friend. Thanks for the content! Could please just make an adjustment to keep all your great work inside the camera frame, please? Thank you

This is a fairly old video before I got a real camera. Check the more recent videos and I think you will find them better quality.

Beautiful woven shoes made way more beautiful by your hand. Are woven leather shoes durable though?

Honestly I have no idea. I'm personally not a big fan of woven shoes. This was for a client and not my own. I have never owned a pair myself to see how they hold up. I suspect they hold up just fine though.

Hi, shoedoc. After applying shoe cream on the toe and then adding wax, it all turns into a paste that removes the color and leaves awful patches behind. Do you know how I can avoid this from happening?
@mbshoedoc4 жыл бұрын
I understand your pain. A few things. 1. Make sure the shoe is stripped extremely well or the dye doesn't fully penetrate. 2. Make sure after dye to wipe them down with conditioning lotion, let dry and then brush off. This makes sure all unabsorbed dye is removed. 3. Applying cream polish must be done very lightly, completely dry and brushed off. Many times I skip cream polish. 4. Apply a few layers of wax by hand first with no cloth. Let it dry and set and act as a sealer for the dye and cream. Then you can continue with mirror shine with water drops and a cloth.

@@mbshoedoc, thanks for your quick reply. I'm gonna try with your tips now to see how it goes. I'm not applying the first bulk of wax first and letting it dry.

@@mbshoedoc I tried with your technique there was no paste when I started. I also skipped the cream polish on the toe. I'm using Pure polish High Shine and I can't make it to the mirror part of mi shining. 80 min later on one shoe, and I quit. I don't think it will work. But the paste problem is solved, at least.

@@lohengrinknight maybe try with Saphir Mirrorgloss. I like pure polish but sometimes have trouble with it.

You're very good at what you you do. Take a look at Elegant Oxford and film your videos with the same 1080p/4K quality and your channel will take off. This poor quality, narrow video provides a pretty unpleasant viewing experience. Your other videos are better, but still not great. The only thing separating you from 100k+ followers is the videography. The content and skills you posses are great.

I appreciate the honest feedback and I know Preston 👍. Some of these videos were previous content just to try and figure it all out. Definitely working on mastering the videography. Stick with me and I'll continue to elevate my game 🙏.

@@mbshoedoc The fact that you can take constructive criticism already sets you apart from most people in this world. I have no doubt you will take this channel as far as you'd like. I am very interested in learning to patina shoes myself, and would love to pick your brain on the topic if you ever have the time.

@@drr9347 you can DM me through Instagram...I'm MBshoedoc on there and I think my KZbin links to it. Or email mbshoedoc@gmail.com 👍. I already messaged Preston to find out about his camera setup 😉. I have a few more sub par videos to post up but I'll get there 💪

I would love to hear your feedback on my most recent video to see if the quality has improved for you. I changed my editing software which had limited me to lower resolution. I have also filmed in higher resolution. Still waiting on a camera upgrade to improve further.
