An “Alarm” has not always been an inanimate device for informing people of a condition. “Alarm” once was the condition in itself. People would be sent out to 'raise the alarm'. They wouldn't “come on”, but rather, “go off” to do this.

You know a thermostat does not open because heat on the spring, it has a wax cylinder in the center of that spring and as it heats up it expands pushing that cylinder apart over coming the spring tension opening the thermostat. Thermal expansion and physics be like.

the alarm goes on/armed when activating the zones for protection. when the the zone/s is breached the audible sound goes off/or is immited from the horn/siren. hence the alarm goes off

Correct me if I'm wrong but on a thermostat the spring doesn't get softer it's what's in the copper core/cylinder in the center of the spring that that the temperature has an effect on that makes it open not the spring

Yes, it's called a wax motor in the center. It essentially expands and pushed the rod at the center of the thermostat to open it.

3:30 that is standard base model shit, those manual rear windows :) Alarm went off --> Something set off the alarm. In situations where the battery holder bolt is broken inside and is hard to recover, a self tapping screw in a different location will do the job.

It’s more worth it to just find a used motor somewhere that is currently running. Just from personal experiences sometimes a engine overhaul can be way more than expected and when your working on something like a Honda if your not gonna build that motor than just replace with another used engine
