I did replace the fuse and power steering light still comes on and very hard to steer. What else can I do. Can’t afford to take to dealer. Thank you

Unfortunately it’s probably the steering motor or steering rack and pinion motor assembly.. depending on the location of the electric motor.. location would be on the rack and pinion the steering column.. if it’s a GM it has a recall on the steering motor.. might be an to get it replaced and fixed under recall at the dealer.. Good day. I have a 2016 GMC Sierra with the same issue. After jumping the truck I lost the entertainment system and the Electronic Power Steering. I checked for the EPS fuse and cannot locate it. I checked the trucks manual for the fuse location and for the life of me cannot find it. If you know off by hand would you shoot me a quick message. Thanks !!!!

Location should be the battery fuse block. Unfortunately the entire block needs replaced. It’s 175 amp within the unit. I hope this helps. I appreciate the feedback👍

Oh your talking about the bus bar fusible links on the battery. I had that apart and soldered the one connection back.

What tools do you need to remove 60 amp

Fuse or amp puller’s are usually located on the cover of the junction box. Otherwise there are special pliers for removal of those items. I hope this helps. I appreciate the feedback 👍

Hello, I have a 2010 cobalt lt. It also gives me a problem with power steering but the steering wheel does not get hard. The problem with my vehicle is that when making the changes in the transmission it makes them in a violent way. in some streets that are vertical it seems that it wants to turn off as soon as we take them. Do you think changing the power steering motor will solve it? Cheers

@@HowIFixedIt Good morning. Thanks for answering. The electrician just told me that the communication with the transmission (TCM) and the power steering (PCM) are fine. I rule out that the BCM also failed. (for this an unchecked electrical workshop wanted to change the BCM). He only told me that the Power Steering Motor had to be changed. A piece of only a few dollars. Can you imagine the money I saved just for a second opinion? Finally, thank you for your comments. Cheers
