Hey mate do you only paint the repaired area but laqur the hole panel.also how long to you leave each coat to dry before the next thanks mate

Yes pretty much. Always obviously make the lacquer area larger than the base/colour area. Apply 2nd coat when 1st coat is tacky... touch surrounding areas to gauge it

@lewigas2904 жыл бұрын
Ditto the previous comments. Love the longer vids. Just as a matter of interest how long do you leave the infra red lights on for. Is there some temperature which cannot be exceeded or is it all a bit of trial and error? Is there a point at which the paint burns? Thanks just curious and thinking of investing in some 👍
@cvrpov4 жыл бұрын
I have a temperature sensor that you point at the panel and reads the heat that is projecting from the panel. Usually from 50-75 degrees is a suitable dryiny temperature, 60 is optimum. Each lacquer has different requirements but mine is around 15mins at 60.00 in each section.

What pressure and mixture settings are you using on the Pro lite? Just got the same gun and setup, would be interesting to k ow. Currently using a 1.2 TE05 SRI PRO LITE. Too small for larger jobs?
@cvrpov2 жыл бұрын
I usually have the pressure pretty high. Dials are fully out. Maybe I would change this if I was inside but it works for me outside in the outdoor environment. My pro lite is the 1.3 and does small to medium jobs pretty easily and bigger jobs also. A 1.2 might struggle

Definitely another amazing work but it's nearly impossible to keep these professional equipments at home as I'm not a car painting professional. Compressor, paint gun, liquid paint, clear lacquer, sandpapers, nylon bag to cover a car, heating lights and etc :) I guess, most of amateurs can only fix minor scratches. In my opinion, Body painting needs these equipments and too much experience.
