Finally stepping up from the Dalton Kit, which has been great, too the CVTech Primary Clutch. Gonna be an awesome upgrade for the Outlander XMR 850!

Finally you put the aftermarket clutch. You will definitely notice the difference in belt pinch now. Enjoy it buddy. Hopefully you shouldn't have to change your belt again for a few years.

Hey, that's cheat'in to have help putt'in the stock secondary on !! ... But SO much easier it looked like than do'in it by yourself like I have too. Here's hop'in you have better luck with the CVTech than I did. Now all you need is an STM Gen II secondary ... YEAH BUDDY !!!! ... Oh, & I guess you need the snow to melt too, eh !?!? .... Rob, you will definitely feel a difference in response with the CVtech clutch compared to Dalton kit, as I did the same as you, Stock, then Dalton kit, and finally a CVtech last summer and also tried many different setups and finally found my best all around which made my bike a different animal from stock or clutch kit, especially through the mud and keeping rpm's up under load! Your setup should work great, as it did for Shawn.

I just checked out my clutching book from last year, and after 15 different combinations that I tried, My best setup for my 2015 800 XMR, with Yoshimura muffler, EJK tuner dialled in with A/F gauge, CV Tech primary and stock secondary with Dalton Black/Yellow spring is with the Maverick belt"364", 1016 primary spring, 6X2004 weights and 6X 1.5g washers. This setup, on my bike, has excellent response and revs. to 7400rpm in low range through the skeg and mud and still pulls 7100rpm in high range through the skeg and mud and my belt temps are lower than with other setups. If you ever decide to try a different clutch setup on you 850 XMR, I would try the 1016 with 6X2005 weights and your secondary setup as your motor makes more power than my 800. I'm sure you'll be more than happy with the setup you have. Good luck Rob, and hope to see you on one of our rides this summer.

Limskii .. like what percentage increase in performance did u get with dalton clutch kit over stock? And what percentage with the cvtech over the dalton clutch kit?
@XMARGH

Just by how reflective the belt is I'm going to say that it has glazed some and is causing your squeaking. A good scotch bright pad and hot soapy water and you may be able to bring it back. The Black/Violet is a torsional spring that hooks in the Helix while the Silver EPI is a standard spring. Either one of those springs would work correctly but they are hard to compare because of the way they work. Typical CVTech noise at idle. :) Looks good Rob!

Now that I have my 2019 850 Outlander xmr broke in I was wondering how the spring 1017 and weight 2006 combination was working out on your bike. I have been looking for calibrations for this clutch and yours is the only one I found that was helpful. I noticed your ride with ostacruiser the bike did very well just wondering if you had to do any other adjustments.
@RobFarrowATV

Thanks Man, I couldn't remember what my settings were and now you helped me out! LOL! I feel that I need to add a little more torque and higher end RPM to the wheel spin, gonna have to play around with a different setup I think. The bike did very well at the Ostacruiser ride but was bogging down due to the lack of wheel spin...needed that little bit more! Probably play with it this winter if I get a chance! Thanks for tuning in!

You should change the weights in the cvtech, I have the same set up and changed the weights with a stack of 5 pennies in place of the 6 weights in there, it would rev out at 7200 before the weight change now it’s up to 7800, major difference in the mud, seems to have more power through out the power band now, would highly recommend it

Help! I have a CECTEK T5/6 and I need to remove the front pulley and fan, as I think something has got down the air inlet and it is catching making bad noises. There is a tool you used but I cannot get as there is no importer any more in the UK, can anybody give me the dimensions so I can make one. I appear to own the only one in the country with no service or spare ,there are other make that use these CVtech drives so I need to find out which makes are used here in the UK. To try and get spares.

just a note you dont need the tabs on the spring and the spring that cam with the kit is recomended for you atv you should have put it in cuz the cv tech cluch is not set up for the stock cluch spring and i took off the counter weight on the main cluch helps generate more hp faster less weight to turn or you can say rotating mass all the high perfomans guy recomend it so just saying if you take off the counter weight and put the gray spring on you will notice a diference in how it peforms and will have more snap to it kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHLLl2OmgMSMY8k
