Hey Carl I watch these every week and really look forward to them. Honestly, more than the other channel. Great message today, as a father about the same age (a little older) I really related to your message. I wish my older self delivered it to me when I was 20. Lately, you have seemed a bit frustrated on some of these posts over various things. It was great to hear you pull out of that funk and give this uplifting message. Thanks for giving me good things to think about today. I am sure many others appreciated it as much as I did.

Carl I love your long form content and your open and warm depenmenter. Even though your closer to a big brother in age (or maybe a younger uncle) your fatherly advice and the way you give advice reminds me more of my dad. I have to warm up now. I go easy way more often than going hard. I play a lot of hockey and have built a great group of friends through that. I didn't do that so much in my 20s and 30s. My outlook slowly changed. It works for me.

There’s nothing like live music! Good live music that is! My dad loved the band Rush, I was always underwhelmed by their recorded songs but I knew some of them, I had the opportunity to see them and treat my dad to the concert, outstanding live presence! I’ve been to hundreds of concerts but seeing them was a great memory. A band that has really defied the odds is Metallica, I’ve seen them a dozen times over the years and my god they’re getting better! I also took my dad to one of their shows and he was absolutely floored by them. Great memory and I continue to go to all kinds of shows, watching some of these artists live is just a great experience to me. It’s genuine, and it’s real, that’s what I like.

Nine Inch Nails is a good example of a band that sounds different live than in studio, yet both are really good. Studio versions are over produced to get the “perfect” sound while the live version has the soul of it being real. I wonder if the Suevas jacket used decaffeinated grounds to dye with. Imagine starting to sweat while wearing it and your heart starts racing due to being over-caffeinated. I like the 719 boot, I might have to pick up a pair. Good stuff again, hope you have a great week!

I have a few things from 1620, but man, I wear their zip up work hoodie with the cordura patches on the elbows and tummy for work, and the thing is practically falling apart after 18 months. The wrist cuffs are absolutely shredded, stitches popping in places. I really like the cut and the hoodie as a whole, but I'm not hard on it at all and a little dissapointed in the build quality. For $170 I'm probably not going to buy another one. I can probably take it to a tailor to have those cuffs replaced but for the popped stitches? IDK. I don't see this being very useful after the 2 year mark for me. Bummer.
