Fun Fact: this movie had a completely different story in the original script,that was co-written by Wesley Snipes himself & the original director/writer. Blade 3 was supposed to take place in a post-apocalyptic future,where the Vampires enslaved humanity and took Blade as a prisoner/ guinea pig for experiments.After many years,Blade gets rescued from the Vampires,by a group of human resistance fighters and together they take the fight to the Vamps. The studio didn´t like it,because they would need a big budget. So they threw away the original script,hired David S.Goyer (the guy responsible for the "Martha" line in BvS) and had him write this BS story with Dracula eh... I mean "Drake". They also fired the director/writer that Wesley Snipes brought in. The later was so pissed,that he acted like a total douchebag during the movie´s production and almost started a fight with the director.

Predictable outcome, one dimensional characters, stone faced almost silent wannabe badass protagonist, weird lore that barely makes any sense, questionable acting from the support actors. It wasn't Twilight levels of bad, but it definitely did not do the vampire genre any favors thats for certain, nor the superhero genre that needed Toby Maquires Spiderman to actually get some steam after Blade and X-Men kinda shat the bed.

The older I get, the more I realize why everyone should hate this movie too. When I first watched it as a teen I still thought it was OK. Now, this movie doesn't exist to me. Only the very few fight scenes blade has with vampire minions (since they noticeably cut down his screen time to make way for the costars) are cool enough to worth rewatching. Sadly still, this final fight with drake is crap. I now only tell ppl to watch blade 1 & 2 when introducing the series.

See, if they could've just kept the hand to hand combat sequence like at 2:38 it would've made a lot MORE epic destructive fight between Blade and Drake. Because, seriously you would think that since Blade is going toe to toe with the first original Vampire. Their fight should be a lot more intense than what they showed here for the entire fight. That floor slam Drake did was perfect. If only they could've stick to that level of fighting then this fight could've been as badass, or better than Blade Vs Nomak. If you watched Dracula rising, he is a man of honor. He was a warrior. I like that depiction of him better than the one everyone's used to. He took on a curse to save his love and when he failed, he chose death but was kept alive.

Okay, I'm just gonna say it. No offense to the actor, but Dracula in his 'human' form looks absolutely ridiculous. Terrible miscast, completely killed the tension i was supposed to feel whenever he was on screen. His acting is fine, he just doesn't have the looks. He is supposed to be this ancient, powerful and intimidating figure, but he comes across as your highschool classmate's gymbro dad, who falls for every online scam and posts motivational quotes on facebook. When he shows his true form it's far too late, i can't take him seriously. Especially painful since in the previous two they nailed the villains.

this fight its a piece of sheat, even the look of dracula, and he was just a "classic villain". Blade was perfect but if i did dracula i will do it like a knight who wakes up on this time, he does not talk english well, he his an honored but bloody knight. Imagine this, he wakes up, he saw how humanity improved so he knows thats his fight style its good but he needs a better armor, i would make 2 fights beetween blade or another hero and dracula, one when he wakes up with a complete steel knight armor, long hair, a guy with almost 50 years old, like the paint we all know about dracula. Well, in the fight he is clearly better than blade but his weakpoint its his armor against bullets of course, the fight ends because blade does not know who is him or something, but the fight ends. This dracula has a fight style and he sees that he needs a better armor, so he will do a better armor with some alloy or something, blade and dracula fights another time, dracula has an adventage this time. He is a perfect fighter, he is stronger, he has a shield on his back and uses an sword like blade, well, but he demostrates to blade that he his an honor kind of fighter, it could be awesome that he says the line: "what happens my child", that frase has sense because blade and all the vampires are his childs. Well, dracula its defeating blade and he starts to say that he is having fun, that he is doing this to give him an oportunity, he is not using his true form, because he thinks thats its not fair with the oponnent, he trained himself to have true ability, to dont need to use his vampire form, just because he is honored. Of course, in the movie dracula will show his true form, wich is like in the movie blade 3, but with a different chest and some wings, something really scary, but antique, something really big and impressive. He will show is true form to blade once dracula defeats him and to fight another treath on the movie, kinda like an antihero or a villain that has the same objetive as blade for one particular situation. To me its really important to keep the "dracula" myth intact, its the base of all this histories
