I personally plan to start the course later this month, and I look forward to being able to complete it fully and hopefully start my career in Cybersecurity as a SOC Analyst or just skip to being a Cybersecurity Engineer that specializes in firewalls. I’m glad you took the time to put together this video as I have been watching your videos to do research on the Cybersecurity industry for about a month now. I feel a lot more confident in my ability to succeed! Hopefully I’ll be able to make the statistic of 52 go up to 53 if someone else hasn’t already. Your videos have inspired me and helped me realize that a Cybersecurity career is definitely possible as long as I put in the work. 本当にありがとうございます!

I have watched your videos for a while Josh. I also love the fact that you travel to Thailand frequently. I have been a handful of times and worked remotely from there for 4 months. Based on my skill set and various roles in my 14+ IT career, the Cloud Security Engineer role seems a better fit for my progression. I am not a coder and I watched my dad code as a software developer and data architect for over 40 years and it's just not my cup of tea. I don't need to break the bank, location independence, not money is my sole focus during this time in my life. My goal is to work remotely splitting time between the US and Thailand while earning enough to sustain both with some to spare. I am planning to focus hard on accelerating the WGU's BSCC. I will start SDC this month, transfer credits to enroll at WGU by Oct 1st, and finish in 1-2 sessions max.

I've been hesitant on your course for a while. I'm just gonna go for it. I am a bit scared that I'm not smart enough right now. Around 7 years ago, I did get the 3 CompTIA certs and the CCNA, but I didn't do anything with those certs, so I feel like I'm back at knowing nothing again. I did the Sec+ CE recently, but those allow you to retake the assesments over and over again until you pass, so those aren't difficult to finish to renew the Sec+. This fear of not being smart enough has also paralyzed me from going to WGU for a good 3 years now. But hey, baby steps. It would be crazy if I could get an entry level security job before I start WGU. Plan to save as much money as I can this year and start WGU in 2025.

I have few questions though.. You mentioned something about the referral. Would you give referrals to those who finished this course? Is the internship component a different thing like, can we subscribe to the internship component alone? Most importantly, would this work the same for people outside the US?😭 I am from the UAE and its really hard to get into cybersecurity without any prev experience or high profile referrals!! 2+ years experience is THE bare minimum for any entry level, and I see 5+ years for SOC Tier 1 too!😢 Please let me know about this, again thank you Josh!

The job is fun, I get to help students and staff all day and touch tons of technology daily, however, I don’t really feel challenged anymore and it’s relatively low pay($50k) for my State’s cost of living. Hi Josh, I almost finish the my Google Cybersecurity program and am preparing for the Comptia Sec+. I’m debating whether I should take your IT course or the Cybersecurity one. My ultimate goal is to get into cybersecurity. However, I heard that cybersecurity is not an entry level job and many cybersecurity professionals started out as help desks analysts. For someone who doesn’t have too much technical background, would it better off starting as an IT support professional? FYI, I have been working at a semi-technical role at an ed tech company since May, but most of my prior experience was in education.

Honesty the number of people who found their jobs are reflected by the completion percentage. It seems Iike if you actually complete the whole thing, you’ll be ready enough for a position.

The course is about 20 hours of video, which will probably take you 80-100 hours to complete! ^^

Josh is 100% legit! If you are looking get a head make the jump. Josh, a couple of videos ago I asked you about GRC and you said you would make a video. Did you?

So if i understand you correctly from your videos that are archived and all over youtube, is all someone has to do is pay you $500.00 and work for you in an unpaid internship and you will sign off on that persons CISSP application... ok. And to think I thought that your content was only self promotion and you only trying to sell your course. my bad

Recently @JoshMadakor posted about creating a new course and possibly combining some material. With possible pay plans and tier's.. its on incident response.

This course is 100% worth it. I was stuck in limbo after my Sec+ and this course helped me get over the hump and land my new role as a Security Analyst. Thank you Josh for everything. At this point, any friend that’s interested in getting into IT/Cybersecurity, I tell them to get the Google cyber, Sec+, and Joshs cyber course. Optionally but I’d highly recommend is to consider taking his IT course as well, especially if you don’t have any IT experience. I was close to taking that too but I got the Security Analyst job so I don’t need to

I am thinking about taking your course.. I know this is a question that is difficult to answer after seeing your metrics... How long would it take someone to complete it if they spent 5-6 hours a day, 5 days a week and we're serious about learning to get a job?
