I am a Russian, and I am a videogame collector. I have never heard of the device, but famiclones and Sega-clones with an educational spin were quite widespread in the late 90s - early 00s. They make up a realm of their own, and tracking certain varieties and researching their history requires remarkable dedication, since these things are borderline (or straight) bootleg stuff and nobody bothered to preserve the hardware or knowledge about it. You and your Russian comrades have done some serious sleuthing. But I digress. What I wanted to say is that I will gladly send a Cybershell your way should I ever come across one. Okay, it gets crazier. Cybershell (its Russian name, Киберзнайка, is easier to search) is more or less current. As recently as 2 years ago you could buy it from Ozon.ru, a Russian Amazon-like website. I am almost sure it was still available 5 minutes ago when I found the listing, but now it's sold out. Must have imagined its being on sale. Still, Ozon ships to the US, I believe. If this thing ever surfaces in a globally available store, I will let you know.
