Personally prefer the Cycle 7 and after the Cycle 8 and Neo in third. Good keyboard, but it's just a matter of personal preference!

why compare with different plates?

That was not the plan, but they only sent me those plates. If they had given me a choice, I would have asked for the FR4 plate for the Cycle8 as well, for a better comparison. However, they only have limited keyboards for testing.

Cycle8 sounds thinner... It's something BlackSimon mentioned too in his build video, at least when it comes to R1 section, and recommended going all brass with it to make it sound a bit deeper.
