Thank you for saying hi in the live chat today Judith. Hi back! I'm sorry for not responding on the chat. I wasn't able to stay and moderate so I tried to sneak on and off w/out notice to give Tom a quick plug. I hope Action Kid gave him a plug too. I hope you are doing and staying well. I was very saddened and sorry to hear you have lost two friends to Covid. I'm glad AK is helping to keep you busy with moderating on YT and Twitch. FYI - We have chatted a bit on Twitch but you didn't know it was me. I'm on the "DL" on Twitch until I can change my screen name. Take care and stay safe.

@@ssadvweld1 Hey Stephanie! I was so glad to see you on the chat today. I like Tom Delgado also. I do watch his videos, when he posts them. Thanks so much for your kind words regarding the loss of my two friends. It's been hard, but I do a lot of praying. I like Twitch livestreams, but for some reason I'm not getting a notification when AK goes live. Frustrating...I'm glad this stream on YT went well with no issues. Hope you and your family are staying safe. Take care and hope to see you on the next chat!😊😉

I lived across the Hudson River in New Jersey. The city of Union City, Hudson County, New Jersey, is the place I was born and raised. Moved from New Jersey 1986 to Florida then to Alma Georgia, my home now. Met my husband in Florida and moved to the small town of Alma ,Georgia where he was from. Enjoy your videos of NYC brings back a lot of good memories.

Before 2 weeks ago, I hadn’t ridden a bike for a couple of years. I never had a real reason to get one. 2 weeks ago my friends and I took a train to NYC and rented bikes and rode around. I instantly fell in love with cycling and I can’t wait to go back and to ride this pathway.

Thanks Action kid for all your videos. Who cares if you made that hill, you're the best anyway ! This one brought back a lot of memories for my wife and I . We lived in Washington Heights during our first years of marriage on Nagle Ave. A killer one bedroom apartment for like 350.00 a month ! That was in the early 1980's. Stay well and thanks again.

I looked your video up on KZbin to see what was ahead of me. Thanks for the video and I made the right choice by not finishing. I don’t want my little dog falling out of his basket lol.

No worries on the hill...as a kid I use to start the top of the hill on my bike and race all the way down. Extremely hard to go up.

In 1967 when I was 15 I tried to make it all the way down that hill on a skateboard. Not the kind of skateboards we have today, back then they were crude. Almost killed myself losing it and wiping out about 1/3 of the way down. LOL!

A peaceful ride along the Hudson River. This is one of my favorite trails to cycle on in NYC. I like to cycle between Dyckman Street and Battery park along the Hudson River Greenway. Some of my favorite sections to cycle is along the Amtrak Empire Connection and the NYC Central Alco S1 locomotive along the path at around 72nd street.

Somehow disappointed how small the walking and biking paths are leading to annoying conflict and stress. Especially in the second part of the ride with the dangerous hole. Time for the politicians to fix this ASAP.
@mikeoglen68484 жыл бұрын

@@b.griffin317 Check 19:14 - so much space to widen up the walkway/bikeway. Same at 6:30 - the most dangerous segments of this video all have enough space to fix it.

Great video. Would love to see more cycling routes in NYC. One addition, though: It's the only bridge connecting Manhattan with New Jersey, but there are additional ones in Staten Island that connect NYC with New Jersey, right? Regarding the hills, I can totally recommend sufficient derailleur gears. That makes cycling up there really easy. Some people say you do not need that unless your area is really mountainous, but I would disagree. It's also worth it for situations like these.
@b.griffin3174 жыл бұрын
RE bridges: yes, three bridges from SI to NJ, but only one, the Bayonne, is walk/cycle-able. Also SI is so remote from the rest of the city most NY'ers wouldn't count it. You cannot walk directly to SI from anywhere else in NYC.
