you just have made me realize anew how beautiful the Gobi desert can be. We are so used to it, so often we don't appreciate it. It is an entirely different perspective. thank you for a wonderful video. Evidently you are very brave man ;-) So cool!

看你视频很好,有空我也骑自行车旅游全中国,买一辆好的越野自行车,带一个摄像机,真爽。Watching your video is very good, I also have time to ride a bike tour of China, to buy a good off-road bike, with a camera, really cool.

How did you bring enough water for three weeks. Surely you would need more than you could carry on a bike? Kudos though this looks epic.

i don't want to be rude, on the contrary. But how exactly do you guys pay for this kind of thing? - Do not get me wrong pls, it is outright great that you did all this. Very cool teaser, that is - would love to see more of the places you guys visited. I am also working on a more automated channel etc online - so perhaps you guys could share stuff like this instantly. You are already invited to make a Post in the: China Travel Community on Facebook. Pls find it? - And Tibet Travel Community on Facebook. I will be working on one for Mongolia as well later on (y)

Hi Ben! Don't worry, I don't think is rude at all to ask. I am aware that this causes a lot of curiosity, because, when I was younger, I asked the same things myself. The real answer is actually nothing mysterious. Basically, I worked hard, lived cheaply and saved for a long time. Once you have the money, you start traveling and you do it very cheaply as well. The focus for me, is on the traveling experiencing rather than sleeping in an expensive hotel and eating in fancy restaurants like most people do when they travel. This is no vacation for me, this is no tourism, this is discovering the world and blend with the cultures. Our daily budget for this cycling trip is 10 usd a day (about 8 euros?) per person, but we actually spend less than that. Hope this helps :) and thank you veyr much for sharing the video. I think the ones I have in Vimeo are slightly better quality though. doei! nico

Nicolás Marino Okay, that was highly informative. That is the way I do things, kind of - Eh, very interesting: I could tell you I am trying to change that a bit and make channels for myself & others to get more out of their work. Turns out that this is far from easy, but ... well - keep trying for now. Meanwhile: I hope some of the Maps, directions and such are already useful to people with likewise interest. I think your postings are awesome. Surely i have never tried to bicycle out there - i gave up after a tour around Dunhuang on a bike already. Hah. Ps: Feel free to keep me updated on certain things so i can throw it on Facebook, twitter and my site. Just an invitaton - seems like you have plenty to do each day already. (y) very inspring.

Nicolás Marino Yes, the video & sound quality on vimeo is a bit better. Perhaps you have to upload your video in a format that youtube recommends.

ChinaReport.com THanks a lot Chinareport :) So you live in China, right? Donghuang ! nice, I cycled from Urumqi to Xining in 10 days, that was freaking insane but loved the experience. Had I had more time I would've gone through donghuang. I lived in China for about 6 years, have cycled more than 15000 km there and loved every bit of it.

Amazing trip! Thank you for the video! What fuel did you use for Primus? I got the same but gasoline quality is bad in Central Asia.
@80lives7 жыл бұрын
Григорий Данко yeah, it was a primus multifuel and it was a nightmare in Mongolia due to bad quality gasoline. It got clogged all the time and became unusable. I ended up throwing it away. I have an MSR Whisperlite now, but I haven't tried it with bad gasoline

@80lives6 жыл бұрын
