Getting my cyclops taken out was the GAME CHANGER in my post op acl recovery. I was 10 degrees short of full extension for months until they found it. Once I had the surgery, boom full extension! There aren't words to describe the relief

How soon can it be detected? I'm six weeks post ACL surgery and I have the same symptoms. I haven't skipped a single day of rehab and I do my exercises daily. I also feel movement in the front of the knee accompanied with some pain whenever I do bending exercises or cycling. For six weeks I haven't been able to get full extension not even once.

I'm not sure how early. Mine was found about 8 months post op, but who knows how long it had been there bc I was never able to fully straighten it after surgery. I would suggest getting a doctor's apt so they could potentially schedule you an MRI

@@partizancr778 Mine was from 2/1/22 to 3/31/22. Not long and much more encouraging compared to my original ACL rehab!

Good afternoon Dr. Bellemans. I had a cyclops lesion removal surgery last week. I'm scared that having gone to the gym and having forced through aggresive rehabilitation my knee extension might have damaged my ACL graft. The arthroscopy images made it look slightly frayed. It might also have been overstretched, I can't tell. Are ACL grafts usually intact after a cyclops lesion?

Hello Sir, thank you very much for your very informatives videos! I had an acl reconstruction back in 2013 while playing football professionally. Today, I find myself having a lot of pain and discomfort but it feels like it is at the very top of the shin bone, not the knee! And right where the screw has been putted when I press on it I can feel some discomfort there too! But the pain at the top of the shin bone (it’s both side) is really bad! And due to this pain, I have lost a lot of leg extension, which is causing me a lot of issues as I now walk/ run differently. I know that without an MRI it’s obviously hard to tell, but any opinion on what it could be? Thanks 🙏🏻

@@rajivshah1132 What can and can't you do with the lesion in your knee? Can you play sports and fully hyper extend your knee or no?
@rajivshah1132 Жыл бұрын
@@rtyuu999 I can run for around ten mins then get pain behind kneecap. I also have a grinding popping sensation when I hyperextend the knee. Not painful but very noticeable
