This voice/character sent me back to waking up at 1am on my grandmothers couch after i had fallen asleep. She left her tv on 24/7 because she didnt know how to use the remote to turn it back on again. She only played the game show channel and whatever channel played nothing but fearmongering medical "advice". But all the same in the wee hours of the morning some soft-spoken woman would be trying to sell me the latest step-in tub or skin cream and this brought me right back to that. You've really nailed the cadence.

The southern accent tends to be comforting to a lot of people because they associate it with people who's culture it is to be polite and friendly. For example i tens to accosiate southern accents with nice church ladies who are motherly and would totally adopt you on the spot no questions asked. Very comforting indeed
