Wow I really like your guys’ commentary style. Speaking like adults, to an audience of many adults, about a game we played as kids. Not treating your audience like the age they were when they played the game. Great video!

Slimy spring is my personal favorite. The atmosphere and everything about it makes it my favorite galaxy

I love the end when you leave the cave, the music stops and it's just you, the sun, the grass and the sound of birds. One of the best moments in the game for me
Y'all finally got this one out the icebox. You could tell this was supposed to come out a long time ago lol

Still sad they didn't bring back buoy base. It was gonna be that but we got stuck with stone cyclone instead. Also maybe this is just a me thing but I think Throwback Galaxy should have been the last galaxy you unlock in world S (aside from grand finale galaxy) and Flip out should have been in the final world.
@Cytonox Жыл бұрын
totally man. buoy base rules, id take a buffed version of it anyday. and i think throwback would’ve fit better in world s also, tbh

Yes I to like the galaxies that feel like actual planets more than just random level assets scattered around. Like yeah they’re fun but They feel more complete when they feel like plantes and have a clear theme

8:21 shatter his skull into bone dust, that made me laugh lol. Surprised to see Freezy Flake at 37, I really liked that one. Cosmic Cove is at 1 for me

I'm so glad to hear someone as equally passionate in hating the level with the rolling thwomps. The camel analogy had me dead too.

Great video, Guys! Super Mario Galaxy 2 is an excellent 3D platformer and a standout game from the Wii. For some reason, I've always substantially preferred the first Galaxy game. I think it's partly due to the first game having fewer galaxies that are longer and more memorable to me, overall, but Galaxy 2 is still an outstanding game. Cosmic Cove is my personal favorite galaxy, but Tall Trunk Galaxy would definitely be my runner-up, as it's such a fun level (especially the slide). I don't think I ever did the World S levels, but the galaxies I remember hating the most were the two flying stages because I absolutely sucked at navigating through them with motion controls. I agree that the Galaxy games have some of the best swimming controls in gaming, but I'll actually raise you a game that blows even those two games out of the water (please don't mind the pun) in that department: Rayman Legends. That game has absolutely phenomenal swimming controls that are quick, responsive, and flow perfectly with the design of the levels. I definitely recommend checking that game out at some point, as it's my favorite 2D platformer of all time and my personal favorite 7th gen game. If you're ever looking for another great 3D platformer series, I can't recommend the Spyro Trilogy enough. Those three games were originally on the PS1 but got remastered as the Spyro Reignited Trilogy for modern consoles. While I admittedly have a lot of nostalgia bias for those games (Spyro 1 in particular is probably my single most nostalgic game), I think they still hold up extraordinarily well for platformers from that era. Those games really put Insomniac on the map, long before they developed the likes of Ratchet and Clank and Spider-Man, and they have a lot of fun, unique levels to explore. They're definitely up there with Psychonauts 2, Super Mario Galaxy, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped as some of my favorite 3D platformers. Anyway, I'm enjoying your content as always and look forward to your future uploads!

Have you played Rayman Origins?
@rpgfan1187 Жыл бұрын
@@traviscunningham7062 Yes, I have. While I enjoyed that game, too, I strongly preferred Legends for some reason I can't quite point to. Maybe it's because some of Origins' levels had much narrower margins of error for completion (especially the Mosquito ones), but for some reason I didn't love it quite as much as Legends. They're both excellent platformers, though.

Glad to know I'm not one of the only people who really didn't care for any of the Bee levels in either of the games

I originally thought you were crazy pointing out clockwork ruins purple coins as being fustratingly garbage untill I actually replayed the level and it had hit me that when walking the opposite direction instead of going backwards mario makes a u turn larger than saturns rings, making you walk off. Still not nearly as agonising as rolling coasters purple coins tho, that one feels like torture only conceivable by a 3 year old sociopath.

A tip for the boomerang bro section in grandmaster galaxy, if you waddle around everywhere, the boomerangs can’t reach you because they only throw straight forward lol

Great ranking. So many smg tier list just say shit like "it has a little something for everyone" and are too afraid to slag off someone's favourite

I recently played both mario galaxys, and personally i’ll take the first one everyday. The second one is definitely an awesome game, but the first game has the most iconic levels, followed by a majestic enviroment focused on the space, what make sense being a galaxy game.

The water controls are NOT that good. Slimy springs isn’t the best. Literally the whole thing is underwater i don’t think the extremely good end segment makes up for that
