why is this a bad fit? Aside from Dlo's numbers likely dipping, it would essentially be for the betterment of the team. We are in need of a lead guard, and there's only one real likely candidate to fill that spot. Either kemba or Dlo. Kemba, in any case, would be too expensive and hes on other side of 30. Dlo is 23, can get buckets and is a MUCH better facilitator than kemba. He can also play 2 guard. Youre basically giving more rest and less pressure on LeBron to move an offense on a younger piece who has potential to be even better. They needed a shooter they said, they need a second ball handler who can run it completely when lebron is off the court resting, and on the court when bron needs help creating.

Skip and Shannon pretty much confirmed they watched not a one Nets game last season. Lebron has won with D-Wade and Kyrie...both dynamic playmakers with the ball, but now a dynamic playmaker with the ball don’t fit? 🤔 Further, I saw Kawahi sit 20 plus games last season but Toronto still won when he was out. Can’t say the same for Lebron. I imagine there is a lot of value if the Lakers can save a 35yr old Lebron for the playoffs and let AD run with a good playmaker while Lebron minutes are being managed. In summary D’Lo fits well.

One thing is forsure , if DLO comes back he will almost most definitely not be an all star again and maybe ever throughout the span of Him being teammates with LBJ and AD. It’s definitely possible there’s been teams in the past that have had 3 all stars but with DLO being a third option AND the insane amount of point guard competition in the west will make it insanely difficult id imagine. So at the end of the day DLO coming is just a case of wether he cares more about the goal of it all, A championship, or if he wants to cement his own legacy and attempt to get as many individual rewards as possible and stay somewhere in the east or a just somewhere where he can be a first option.

If that was the case, fast guards would dominate the league and that is not the case when you have other skillsets to use. Just ask Westbrook who cannot shoot consistently, or run pick and rolls well, but has maybe the fastest step.

They need him to stretch the floor which he does 37% and pick and roll with AD would be unfair since hes $$$ from midrange. He's not explosive which in my opinion is a good thing. His whole game is based on skill, deception, and timing. Thats the type of game that ages like fine wine

Jules Green Sure. I agree. But Lebron and AD gonna run a pick and roll. D’lo will either create on his own or be a spot up. And in a fast break he’s not really good, he’s slow. Bron gonna start the break because he’s old. Lakers need a guard who can run and finish the break. And he sucked during the playoffs. Don’t give me the he doesn’t have help because Caris levert actually played better and Spencer Dinwiddie was productive in limited minutes he played.
