You both are really good at accessorizing. When you get a project that you don't 100% like, I would get it into as close as a completed state as you can and try to sell it. Extra money is always good, and would be a great vehicle to get your talents out there.

Thats a great point!! The one justin gave up on seems pretty personal to sell, it miiiight be a lil weird for someone in the states to be wearing patches of bands that dont exist anymore!

Love it! You guys are clearly experts in customisation but aside from Justin’s jacket in the other vid have you made many items from scratch/revamped/repurposed something completely aside from T-shirt’s->patches?

Justin does make boot straps from scratch, also some hip pouches that you feed through your belt, but as far as clothes go - Not yet! That one vest so far has been the only thing thats come from the bare bones! We see MANY more projects like this happening in the future. Im trying to talk him into making some latex clothes, like skirts or dresses or something!

4:00-5:05- good call on using S pins to keep patches on while sewing as well as keeping more than less fabric while adjusting the size if a patch.

I have a black faux leather jacket with dark blue faux fur neck trim that I wanted to add studs/spikes to, but i can't bring myself to do it! Sewing is my thing, not studding lol. You guys rock!

That pastel vest was giving me serious joker vibes i could see like his face or the haha painted across the back. Thrift stores are definantly awesome for finding lots of cool items to diy with. I grabbed a pair of boots for $2.00 and i am gonna stud them similar to a pair of Jeffree Campbell's

Also dollarama and dollartree have some good diy stuff. I got a pack of scissors for $4 from dollarama all sewing scissors and they are super sharp

hahahaha, its the worrrrst. I promise if you find a little bit of solid (clear) boot polish and scrub it in the armpits and elbows before leaving the house it will significantly improve!

I've never met you guys but I have love for you both, GREAT PEOPLE ! I found Justin in a video he did about DOC MARTENS MAINTENANCE, LOL. We travel thousands of miles to get into a 10$ show because we just CARE so much about our favorite bands, i cant imagine how that lifestyle could ever coexist with being a poser. lmao!

what do you guys think about pleather jackets? im planning on writing on mine with markers and studding it but i dont know if its worth it since its not real leather haha

Turbocharger I mainly wear pleather, I only have a small handful of real leather pieces. I love it! It’s sustainable enough for me! Justin wears mostly real leather but has tried to convert, he just doesn’t love it. I think it’s worth it!! Go for it!!
