Defintely go with live for The Warning, whenever possible. The music videos are great, but the excel on stage. Yes studio audio over the live video. 5th single from the upcoming4th album, Keep Me Fed, which releases on the 28th of this month. The song was released on Apr 5th, the video footage was shot the weekend before, so less than a week turnaround from filming to the release. I think the wanted to get the song out in time for the solar eclipse on Mon the 8th. It wasn't written for the eclipse, though, Pau(drums) said that the eclipse happening was a beautiful coincidence. Love that part at the beginning where Dany strums a few times up at the headstock. Pau does sing lead on some songs too. Check out "Dust to Dust" and "23" at the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022 concert. "Disciple" , also from that show , has Dany and Pau on co-lead.

That thing Dany does on the guitar early on in the song is strumming the stings across the headstock behind the nut. On some guitars, like Fender Stratocaster (which is what she playing here) you can get a sound out of those strings. Dany is also playing a modified Strat with Humbucker pickups as opposed to the standard single wound coil strings. The major benefit of humbuckers is that they don't buzz. Also the guitar has a heavier (thicker) baritone neck that allow her to tune down to a lower foundation note without the string getting all wonky from being too loose. It's a little unusual choice, but the reason the guitar sounds so deep and rich on this song is because of the tunings of that guitar. And it is proof how much of a guitar nerd Dany is.

As you get to know The Warning more you will have to find out that they has various styles of rock but they are invariably pure rock!! And I continue to reaffirm my humble but very own opinion that with its structure, its cuts, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, its endings… All of this is masterful. The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all of this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection and predominating sophistication. There could always be other options, but the ones they chose seem to be the exact ones to create a masterpiece of art. Also impregnating everything with a natural touch of inevitable sensuality that only adds improvement. Each of its pieces can be very different, but always with all the TW flavor. It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits. They have that gift that only belongs to the geniuses that appear among us every certain period of time. This is the youngest veteran band in the rock world. They are the queens of the hook, the riff, the contagious rhythms, the catchy melodies, the sublime voices, the unbeatable harmonies and the ambiguous but deep and powerful messages. And this happens song after song… INCREDIBLE!! The new masters of rock: The warning. The fact that your favorite TW song is the last one you have heard is the most usual and common thing that will happen to you with these genius girls. Another "effect" is that every time you repeatedly listen to one of their creations, you will discover details in them that embellish and sublimate them, making you like them more and more. This song was so good, it's like super catchy and I loveee a prominent bass 🤤Live videos are the best for songs that are meant to be catchy and high energy but I feel like songs that are lyrically strong and tell a story end up being ruined by most videos. Bands often get it wrong with that, unfortunately.
